It don't mean a thing if it ain't got a spring. Come inside and chat about Funko Wacky Wobblers (bobble heads, for the less sophisticated).

Postby Rat Fink Dennis » Tue Aug 21, 2007 11:54 pm

Now, in the past, still looking for???
For me so far it's been the GID Ivan, but he is now mine.
Seems I'll never find the LTJ Sike-o-Shriner, or the Ivan Punk.
The search continues.

Are we talking Funko, or in general?

I'd like to track down a Glow Monkey Assassin. He'd make that little set of mine complete.

After that, I've been on the look-out for a box- and just the box - for my 70's Micronauts Baron Karza. The first toy that I remember HAVING to have more than any other toy, ever, ever, ever.

Until I discovered girls.

I had a helluva time getting Devil Robots to sign some blank ToFu's this year at the Con. I couldn't leave San Diego till the dude doodled on 'em! Getting a Super Freddy also proved to be a bit tricky.

I was really patient in getting the LTJ Anthem, that took a little over a year I think. But I finally got one through a trade.

There are now 4 I'm still wanting to get my hands on, which is Gold Suit Freddy, SuperFreddy, Red Crystal Freddy and Blue Crystal Freddy.

The regular toy that I had the most difficult time tracking down was this guy:
Image
http://www.yojoe.com/action/88/stormshadow2.shtml
This started back in 1988 well before internet was an option. It took over a year of calling several Toys R Us', K-B Toys', and Lionel Kiddie Citys before I finally landed one at the Toys R Us in Golden Ring in lovely Baltimore County. People from all over the state almost began knowing me and my mom on a first name basis.

It was the first time I ever experienced that feeling of only missing one piece and having it really stick in your crawl. (see SuperFreddy and Gold Suit Freddy)

Wow...I could never have kept them in the package. I loved playing with my GI Joes as a kid. I hope they get off their butts and make that GI Joe movie they've been promising.

I am still in pursuit of a full set of Snoopy flag PVCs by a company called Comic Spain. They did a set of him carrying many different country flags and dressed in different soccer uniforms. I have some of each, but they rarely pop up on Ebay. There are a few others from the same company and the Groovy Goolies set of PVCs as well.
Here are some pictures:

that's rad jason!

'member when mike gave me either 2 or 3 gold suit freddy's and the instructions he gave me was to keep one and give the other(s?) away to board members...???

collecting FUNKO was a TON OF FUN back then.

mike would play ANY GAME competitively and bet wobblers etc. so i always got stuff that way.

he was always a little ASCARED of my wiffle ball prowess!

mike's doing good by the way...traveling and working his arse off!

i'll be back from time to time...i always check in tho - just don't always post.

by the way i am a bit surprised about the price of protos these days...is it that people don't care anymore or there are less people or are more protos being made purposely?
