Word of advice. If the instructions say to assembly in the room that you intend to put the cabinet, then follow their instruction.

Slow progress, Paul. We've spent time searching for furniture (got two electric chairs from Lazyboy the other day for the TV area, still searching for home office stuff) and then there's the kitchen contractor who's been back here doing corrective work for the past few days. Then there's the carpet people who had to come back twice to replace defective carpet, then there's the handyman who just submitted a proposal to do a bunch of stuff - including finishing the Kitchen (tile backsplash and ceiling cove / down lighting.

But here's a sneak peak.....

So with the move, were you able to increase the number of new shelves/display space, stay the same, or decrease shelving/display space? With all of your new purchases since the collection was boxed, I was just curious if you had plenty of room for the new pieces or if you are have to start being creative with how to squeeze them all in!

Thanks, guys. As Al mentioned, the cabinets are all from Ikea, Billy bookcases with extra glass shelves and glass doors. Needed to drill some new holes to support some of the shelves just to get the right height for wobbler boxes, then a bracket to brace each to the newly painted walls.

Dave, I'm not sure yet. Kind of finding out as I go. I have enough cabinets to line most of the walls, and will still have a decent amount of space in the middle of the room. I'm thinking of some low display units with a place to sit and a small desk in the middle. I can put my iPad there, and my postal scale, and still have room for packing and unpacking boxes for when I sell and buy more stuff. I haven't decided if I'm going to take wobblers out of their boxes this time - it took so long to pack them up for the move.

As I mentioned before, I may have to part with most of my non-Freddy wobbler banks and maybe even a large proto or two. If and when I do, you guys will be the first to know (if anyone is even interested in wobblers any more).

When I'm finished, I'll open the Funko Wobbler Prototorium to the public. So if you're a Florida resident, or just visiting nearby Mouse World, stop on in. Admission is free, everything is in 3D, and they'll be no lines to wait in.

But you'll have to pass through the gift shop as you exit. ;-)

Awesome collection Scotty! Reverend, thanks for posting the Bootsy collection... breathtaking (and now I see that there is a 3rd Cthulhu I didn't know about :D ). Craig, breathtaking collection as always. At first, I thought that the former closet display area was the Proto shrine but then I realized that the other cabinets were filled with proto goodness too
Keep me in mind if any of the banks you're considering parting with are Sleestak protos or the santastak (hey, can't fault a guy for putting in an early bid/beg). I also like the Wobblers best for the same reason as Carol... the delicious amount of detail. 'platform' pieces like Pop are appealing to me because the form factor give the collection a cohesive look and feel.

Believe it or not, I do not have ANY Sleestak protos. But I do have this Sleestal Freddy proto, and he's a keeper - he's in this old pic with his Freddy friends..... O:)

Image

And now there's even more proto goodness in my toy room. I just finished putting up double height rows of acrylic cases containing more protos above the alcove unit and two of the other cases. And I still have to find places for more. Then there's the big Freddys...... #-o

And now, boys and girls, for your viewing pleasure - a few overall pics of my new Funko Toy Room. I've concentrated in displaying the protos, with their production pieces behind their protos. AND there are many many other production protos that are being stored behind the ones that are visible.

Not all of my Freddys are visible - some are behind others.

And this time I've decided not to take most of the wobblers out of their boxes - just way too much work after boxing them all up for their move to Florida.

I will be adding some kind of display and work area in the center of the room soon. Also, I'll be taking pics of all of the protos individually or in related groups, and will post them on the board in the near future. But for now..... enjoy!!!
