Beginning Collector

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got a spring. Come inside and chat about Funko Wacky Wobblers (bobble heads, for the less sophisticated).

Beginning Collector

Postby Peachtree » Sun Jul 19, 2015 10:25 pm

Hello all!
I've been collecting Funko for about a year now, but have so far only limited to myself to Pops and Hikaris and am considering starting collecting Wobblers. There's only one thing holding me back. I've been reading the thread discussing the lack of any SDCC Wobblers this year (besides orange Freddy) and I'm somewhat worried to start collecting something that is slowly being cycled out of the system. So I came here to ask two questions:
1.Should I start collecting Wobblets
AND
2. What piece should I start with? I have a few in mind so far:
a. Tin Man
b. Gemini Collectibles Gold El Diablo
c. Red and Silver Funko Wobblebots
d. SDCC V for Vendetta
e. Colonel Sanders

I look forward to hearing your opinions! Thanks for your help
Edit: I would like to note, that if I do Diablo I will likely try to collect that entire set and only purchase tin man and sanders on the side. Other than that, I would likely collect haphazardly with ones I like.

There are plenty of older wobblers but newer wobblers are going to be scarce....the good news is wobblers are a lot cheaper than pop.

Like, Carol mentioned, you can't beat getting good deals on great pieces. Don't let the low number of Wobbler's being produced discourage you from strating your collection! Wobbler's are awesome and they need love too. Wobble on!

Get whichever ones you like. There are hundreds of different wobblers out there with a ton of variety.

1. YES, YES, YES!!!
2. As Carol said, wobblers don't get quite as much love as pops these days (hence the price difference) so it's easier to find some VERY cool pieces at great prices, SO collect what you like in whatever order you like... more than likely you'll be about to find most of the wobblers you want with a little patience and persistence :)

WOBBLE ON \:D/

Good luck with your new wobbler ventures! I know you will enjoy them.

As others have said, great pieces at great prices are available.

Yes, you should collect wobblers.
There are so many to choose from, but from your list I like the wobblebots the best.

Pick one area and focus on that: Hannah Barberra; Marvel; Star Wars; Etc. Once you complete that set start on another.

What Bo said ^ There are not many wobblebots so you will run out of choices quickly with those.

There's plenty of wobblers out there for you to collect. Many different kinds of variants. And best part is you aren't dealing with the price explosion that pops are going through. Plus the detail on wobblers is awesome and the protos are great
