gandalf wacky wobbler names??

hi,

i have gandalf wobblers from the Hobbit.

some say Gandalf and some say Gandalf the Grey

which came first? why are there 2 names? which is more common (production runs?) ?

thanks for any info. i've been looking but haven't found any info

The first wave of Hobbit Wobbler boxes didn't have the usual descriptive story blurb on the back and Gandalf is simply labeled as Gandalf. I'm supposing that since the earlier released Gandalf specifically states he is Gandalf the White, and to probably help with inventory of which Gandalf was which, he was renamed when the extra back type was added.

thanks, do you think funko made just one run of hobbit gandalf with just 'gandlalf? have you noticed more 'with' or 'without' 'the grey' ?

Both versions can be obtained easily so I wouldn't consider either of the box variants having any kind of value or demand over the other. The pieces that receive the most interest/higher prices from the LOTR/Hobbit Wobbler line are the SDCC exclusives and the chase pieces, which can be identified by different colored bases.

Also - Funko did two different groups of related movie wobbler releases. One set is from The Hobbit an Unexpected Journey. The other is from Lord of the Rings. I only collected one of each character, so I'm not sure which ones were made for each release. A couple (?) characters were released in both series. One of the wobblers did not make it to store shelves - Leonidas.
