Do you feel the Funko App is very hard to use?

Postby Chestnut » Sat Sep 02, 2017 12:19 am

When I knew the Funko App was in the App Store I was so excited that I downloaded it immediately.
but.....it's just so hard to use.......I think I will use POP PRICE GUIDE as my collection list until Funko fixed their app..
what do you think?

It needs a lot of work still and they said they gonna update it . Like I Tried scanning some of my pops in and it wouldn't recognize newer pops like the last Jedi pops . Or it'll recognize I have the chase demogorgon but save it as the normal variant . And it has for exclusivity my NYCC qui gon is common lol

I collect Star Wars :SW9: and walking dead etc.

I didn't even bother downloading since I have so many Funko products, that adding them all would be a total chore.

[quote="geekypeeples"]Thank you I'm very interested as I have not done the app yet I was waiting to hear how folks fealt about it thanks for posting. For now ill.stick with ppg for my collection list and you keep track and yes having do many pops would be a chore to add them all to a new list plus with no iPad support that is also tricky so I guess I'll wait for word.on an update with better features for us funatics

The app in Andriod has gotten a lot better. Better to use, loads faster, things of that nature. The down side right now..... You can't look for paticular item (just type one Wonder Woman and you get all the Wonder Woman items) and I think each piece is broken down to be its own thing (like if you have a 2 pack but it's not really just the two pack you choose) if that makes sense. The pictures used also don't tend to match the item and you really have to read to make sure it's what you want.

Overall, they are working in fixing the issues (I do believe the app is still in Beta). As time goes one, the bugs should be fixed. Just going to have to be patient and continue to bring up the bugs (in a positive way, let's not bash them please)

What the!?!?! When did it come out on iOS I've been waiting, didn't get any e-mail notification like when it came out on Android.

I got it the day after it released on Android and it was horrible. So slow everywhere, but I tried it last week and it was much much better. They just need to add more products and tidy it up a bit. Some of them have wrong pics or wrong names, wish there was a submit error button for each page.

I have been adding stuff, and seems pretty easy, when the load times start to take a while I close app and restart seems to do the trick.

I wish there was numerical checklists for the lines. Like marvel 1-????
Disney 1-???
Tv 1-???

Stuff like that so completist can just select a lost and check off from there.

Not to sound anti PPg but I kind of like that is doesn't. I would love to see folks "top ten" that doesn't have a value attached.

Downloaded it the day it came out and had nothing but issues on IOS. The app freezes now and then and has many issues trying to catalog my 800+ Pops. For some reason the app has the Bioshock Little Sister and Songbird, but none of the others from that line. Would also try and add in something like Goku and thenit would add in something totally random like Alduin at the same time.

I'm sure we'll see more improvements but I just deleted it for now. It does lead me to wonder why PPG has never released their own app though.

You can say that again. Sigh, the app and Funko's site where you Pop yourself don't work.

The app is obviously still in testing but I'm sure we'll see some improvements to it soon.

I downloaded once it was released. But I've been a little disappointed. I tried to catalogue my collection so I started out with some of the older pops that have been around for a while like my TMNT. Sadly, not all of them were in there so I stopped. I'm going to wait til there's another update before I give it another go.

Still having a rough time organizing my collection. It doesn't feel fluid enough for me to want to continue using for the time being.

I downloaded it but it's so limited in the pops it has in it. I have a spreadsheet with all my pops and it only has a fraction of those up on it. It also has duplicates of the same ones on there. I hope they let us know when it's completely updated so we can check it out again then (also it's odd to me that they're not even adding the new ones they're posting on the blog about..on the ecommerce side, the glam and info is right there without having to dig for them.)

Also, a pet peeve of mine is that if you click on a specific pop and it takes you to a new page with details on that pop, it doesn't take you back to where you left off but rather at the very top of your list/search again.

It would also be nice if the search was more robust. I also use PPG, but I find it frustrating there looking for pops because they're not always characterized correctly. Like if I search for Ragnarok pops, Hela doesn't show up - even though her box says Thor Ragnarok. Or if you searched just for "Wonder Woman", it might only give you Wonder Woman, not all the other characters in Wonder Woman movie. PPG can be very literal like that. It would be great if the Funko app could go looser and specific in the search.

I think I would like it to link to something that I can pull up on a desktop. Just because the initial load of your collection can be quite a chore via mobile. So it would be nice to do it via desktop, then switch to mobile when its just maintenance.

I also like that it does NOT have values in it.

I love the idea of seeing a favorite 5 or 10 that just shows a collector's favorite 5-10 pieces in their collection. Vs what we currently see now which is the constant E-Peen measuring contest of how valuable their top 5/10 is via PPG list is.

As my collection grows, I feel like I need to get in on the app and start using it. Right now I’m still doing the pen & paper method of inventory. I don’t even have it on an Excel spreadsheet...YET?!

I haven't download it yet, what is it called exactly? Anyone still using it after a couple months? :)

Curious for those who have used it, does it consider multi packs 1 pop or 2/3? I can't STAND how PPG lists them as 1 pop, it's not 1 pop, it's two or three! Ugh.

Its just so slow when putting in what you have and feel like there has to be an easier way to find stuff other than trying to scan the bottom of a pop....wish it had categories more by license...or maybe I'm missing something
