I get it, Pops butter Funko's bread these days... but the box was never advertised as the Pop Box. It was clear from the get go that there would be other things in the boxes. Some folks are so d@mn irrationally d!@kish when hiding behind the anonymity of the web.
I for one am stoked to see what's in the Spidey box and will not be dropping my sub if it's not 4 pops.
My thing is that Funko has already come out and clearly said that the only box that will usually get two Pops is Smuggler's Bounty, and that's only because of licensing. They can do more with Marvel and DC properties than they can with Star Wars characters. I mean, honestly, when has MCC EVER given us two Pops in one box? I mean aside from the Civil War 2-pack, which people ALSO complained about!
As long as they stick to the themes of each box, I think people need to start swallowing their ignorance and childishness and start expecting more and more Funko products in these boxes. Like you said, these aren't "Powered by Funko Pops", and people need to stop expecting them to be.
The question now is how Funko is going to handle all of this hate and the insane amount of unrealistic expectations. They're releasing so many new lines and products that people hate simply because they're not Pops. But even the Pops Funko DO release aren't enough either. Yeah, the entitlement is gross and stupid, but fortunately it seems to be restricted to the bowels of Facebook and is seen less and less on these boards
