Wish the sub boxes were monthly
I find myself wishing the Smuggler's Bounty was monthly. I guess I got spoiled from Loot Crate's monthly frequency, but, I find myself getting ansy in the in-between box months. I would definitely pay monthly for these boxes as I'm enjoying them 100%.
Anyone know if they are considering this?

They are not considering it but I find myself to be the opposite. I paid for the year upfront and actually forget they are coming until the email arrives
I think for Funko, monthly would be too time consuming. 3 different sub boxes (with more on the way), constant exclusives...they would need an entire division just for the sub boxes just so the normal business would not take a hit

I get all 3, so it's like every couple of weeks.

Yeah I'm good how it is now. I order all 3 and if the Disney box rumors are true it will be 4 so monthly of each would break the bank

Makes sense. I would feel the same if I were getting each genre.

its not a rumor when the CEO announces it in an interview
Also I got it re-confirmed by Mark when I got a chance to talk to him in person.
Right now there is a 4 week gap between 2 boxes and the other gaps are 2 weeks, so my guess is that Disney will end up in the middle of the long gap so there is a box being shipped out every 2 weeks

Happy with the current bi-monthly box. I have way too many pops already and can't afford a monthly one!

Yeah the prospect sounds exciting but then my wallet is not so thrilled. Plus, you wonder if the quality would go down because they'd have to put out double the creative efforts.

If there were only one subscription, monthly would be good, but since there are three (soon to be four), NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Re: Wish the sub boxes were monthly
I think bi-monthly is a great subscription model, because there are so many sub boxes and being flooded with them all year might be overkill. This also gives people more time to decide whether or not they want to jump on the Powered by Funko train!

I am finding it difficult enough keeping up with subscription boxes as well as all the new regular pops that are being released non stop. My wallet and bank account couldn't handle the subscription boxes being monthly.

I would love that, but only because I only get the Marvel CC box. It'd be a bit much if I subscribed to more than one.

We are subscribed to all 3 and will be getting the Disney one for sure.
I prefer the bi-monthly subscription with Funko. We have been very happy with the quality of the boxes to date.

Luckily for me, there is only one additional box I can think of they could make that I would sub to: The Walking Dead. Since the series is younger than the others, they could do it once a quarter.

I am content with it being every other month, since I only get the MCC. I couldn't afford a box every month AND get new in stores Pops on top of that.
I am considering getting the Legion box for May, and even that was a toss up because I still need so many Pops and just can't swing $31 plus more....ugh.

I like the bi-monthly, it gives them time to develop a good idea for the box. I tried the Nerd Block and I felt like most of the time I was just getting junk. A Disney box, I better write an apology to my wallet now.

Yeah I think every 2 months is fine for me for now, I should just subscribe to the whole year at once but it seems easier to do 35 a box for now. When the disney box comes out we are definitely doing the full year, My gf is a huge fan.

Yeah nothing official just yet but Brian has mentioned it. With Disneys Vast library we could see a bunch of characters and they wouldn't run out for a long time.

Re: Wish the sub boxes were monthly
Well, our family has 4 subscriptions. That would be over $1600 a year (including shipping) if they came monthly. That's too much for us. We can stretch for the $200 per year per person, but wouldn't want to double it. Plus, the anticipation over 2 months is just right. We hope Funko will continue with every-other-month.

I know what you mean. Part of me loves the excitement and wishes my Smuggler's Bounty box came once a month, but realistically, every other month is probably best.

I have to respectfully disagree with you. While I think it would be great to reciev boxes every month, it would be so expensive and the box quality would probably end up being very poor. Funko has 18 100% exclusive boxes to produce, which means all new, all the time. If they had to produce 36 all exclusive boxes at the same price, containing all new items, it would become incredibly hard. While they would earn a lot more money by doublin their box numbers, they can't jsut create an endless team to create endless products. If this happened, I could see the quality of the boxes go down so far that they lost subscribers and ended up loosing money, or they don't maintain the all exclusive foundation of the boxes. Again, just my opinion, not yours. I totally understand where you're coming from, it would be awesome to receive boxes every month, but I think that the boxes wouldn't be as awesome as they are now.

Re: Wish the sub boxes were monthly
I'm content with bi-monthly as well. It's not like Funko isn't making enough other SW stuff to collect in between I'm frankly just getting overwhelmed with the full-court-press Funko has been putting on lately, I just wish they would SLOW DOWN on the new releases. I'm seriously thinking about just skipping the entire Rogue One line because I just can't keep up mentally and financially with all the new stuff anymore.

I'm OK with the bi-monthly subscriptions. Everything accumulates so much as is (exclusives, commons, comic con exclusives, comic con tickets, etc).

Re: Wish the sub boxes were monthly
I'm really ok with bi-monthly releases. With all of the big wave releases the Funko has been releasing lately (Rogue One, Harry Potter, NYCC, Doctor Strange, DCTV Dorbz, Pint Sized Heroes) I find myself having to pick and choose which ones I buy and usually just go for the exclusives that I really want.
