They should make Han in Carbonite as a POP, but I have a feeling that will only be on the shirt. They could have the carbonite piece as some sort of outer frame with an impressiong in the middle, and then have a silver bobble Han that slips into the frame. This way it still bobbles, but also stays true to Han in carbonite.

If it is Hans I think it is in a container and the pop is actually inside it cool be good idk

Cryptonite Han does seem the logical choice, but the bobble rule does pose an interesting challenge.

Still personally hoping for skiff guard Lando and Max Rebo!

I don't think you have to worry about that. On one of the recent Q&As I remember someone asking and the response was that Funko would love to. So I'm guessing they don't have permission to at this point. Personally I'd rather see some Star Wars mystery minis! Just don't get the dorbz love.

Completely agree on the Mystery Minis, and I don't get the Dorbz love either. I don't think anyone where I live does, they are all on $3 or less clearance at my local Gamestop.

some have gone down under a $1 actually...but I remember picking up horror pops on clearance for $2 at Urban outfitters and B&N when they were not the flavor on the season...including chase pieces. Disney store blew their stock out too because nobody bit back then...you never know when the hype or love kicks in for a product.

all that said, I will buy dorbz all day for $3 or less. they look like characterized chess pieces to me and I'm game

That's actually a pretty cool idea. Buy a bunch on clearance of say Marvel Dorbz and assign each character to its position on the board and play with them.

Newest tweet from funko has a pic of c3po and r2d2 on tatooine and it says "A butler can be yours… in the Jabba's Palace box from Smuggler’s Bounty!"

Could just be a harmless ad or does this mean one of the pops is c3po? Maybe an r2d2 with all the gadgets on his head serving drinks in jabba's palace?

By the way there's a contest on Twitter where you can win a year of Smugglers Bounty plus a Maskless Boushh. All you need to do is make Jabba out of anything, food, stuff on your desk, anything. Then use the #makejabba.

I think R2 was only equipped that way when he was on the sail barge, so that wouldn't fit with the "palace" theme.

I'm on-board with this, though now it does deplete the chances of a "Lando in Disguise" Pop somewhat. The SB formula SEEMS to be "One Pop will be a character we've already released, but in a new pose, while the second Pop will be an all-new character". So, yeah, you could argue that "Disguised Lando" is a brand new character a la Boushh, but we're probably going to get R2 and then some random background character now

Literally all I need is Lando to complete the "Ocean's 11-style" infiltration team. Waiter-Droid R2 is fun, but... :-s

It is the biggest box so it could be a pop scene with Lando, R2 and maybe a third from the skiff scene. Would keep in line with the last two scenes they released

A retailer tried to get a gitd jabba made at one point but the idea was rejected. At this point, I think chrome vader might be the only non-universe piece...although spirit Yoda having a lightsaber has always bugged me...

True but the only other "butlers" would be Bib or 3po and neither of them have possible variants during the scene

Yeah, the comment by Funko doesn't really make sense. I mean I think a drink caddy R2 would be very cool! It doesn't fit the box theme though.

When I built the throne room in my signature I was surprised to learn that. I always thought he was sitting on a throne, but in fact he's just sitting on the platform, or "dais". There is a gold organic-looking frame that is behind him and to his side, it may be a sort of backrest. It also forms a support for his water pipe and the little snack bowl. Would be very cool if they put those in the box, but I don't think they will since those would really just be accessories to the Walmart 3 pack set.

I call it a throne because I never really knew another name for it lol

I was thinking back to the original toy that came with the base. The base had a cage that would open to the "Rancor Pit" and you could lay a figure down inside.

Give this enough room for the Walmart Jabba 3pk....perfection

I hope I'm not straying too far OT here but I ran across pics of that set when I was trying to find info on the dais back when I was building the dio. That play set is kind of a strange hodge-podge, it doesn't reflect what the dais really looked like. The dais was a solid platform with reveals in it (I guess to make it look like it was made of large pieces of stone) and it could slide back and forth to expose the trap door that Jabba dropped Luke and others through. The open grating was not in the dais at all, it was set into the floor:

So in general Jabba kept the dais slid back with the hidden trap door available for unexpecting prey:

Then after he would drop them into the pit he would slide the dais forward so that he could look through the floor grate to watch the Rancor do his thang. I guess with that playset they were trying to combine the dais and the floor pit into one toy, but for me it just ends up looking weird because it's so different than the movie.

Anyway, that said, I would love to see a dais with water pipe and the gold backrest and such, it would be way cool :-)

Would love to see Funko start doing accessories like that. The closest they've come before is the Iron Throne, and it is a sweet piece too!
