T-Shirt Sizing

Postby cfmoran13 » Wed Aug 17, 2016 1:10 pm

I apologize if this has been discussed somewhere else already...

Does anyone else feel that the t-shirts included in the subscription boxes run small? I'm traditionally an XL in every kind of shirt imaginable. However, with Funko's shirts, the sleeves always feel tight around my arms and a little short. And, it's not like I have bulging biceps or anything.

I think there has been a ton of variation in the sizing on the shirts... the ones that had the POP logo I felt definitely ran small. Some of the more recent ones were more true to size but there is a ton of inconsistency

I agree about the tight arms. At first I thought my arms were just too big but the shirt fits everywhere else on me just fine. I do wish they'd add a bit more room on the arms of the t-shirt.

I don't think they run small, but the material definitely shrinks more than the retail POP Tees. So if the shirt does end up in the dryer, it will indeed be smaller than the same size retail shirt. I have a pretty large amount of subscription box tees as well as retail tees and this is my conclusion.

My 2 cents.

I had to up my shirt size from XL to XXL as the first couple didn't fit right. the problem is definitely the arms, very tight around the bicep and "short" from the armpit to the bottom of the sleeve, to the point that arm movement was restricted a bit.

To me the large seems so. I usually have to wash it once to shrink before wearing

I wear a L and the shirts are always kind of loose compared to other shirts but the arms are tighter.

I just got 2 tees. One was Funko Art Department, the other FUNKO ringer tee. Both medium.

They fit fine. Then I washed them. The ringer tee shrunk so much that I couldn't hardly put it on. I think it's now an XXS. I've had zillions of tees, and none have shrunk so drastically.

Most of the Funko tees run small to me, some fit normally even after washing it a few times. I love them anyway even I can't wear them all.

I agree that some run slightly small. I mostly order XL and have had some run a little small and some fit perfect. not sure why there is variation.
