Just out of curiosity I counted each of the colors of the active eBay auctions and they are as follows:

Gold- 14
Red- 13
Silver- 13
Black- 15
Blue- 13

Granted this is a small sampling, but it doesn't look like any particular color is a chase.

EDIT- here are "sold" auction totals:

Gold- 12
Red- 19
Silver- 27
Black- 11
Blue- 23

Combined total of active and sold auctions:

Gold- 26
Red- 32
Silver- 40
Black- 26
Blue- 36

I think they would have announced during the unboxing if there was a chase. I'm pretty sure with the last 3 variant ratios they announced it.

There is a really strong possibility that Funko has 1000s of these boxes in their warehouse that are all Golds, simply due to randomly shipping out the boxes to where ever and not ensuring a proper ratio.

I've been watching Evilbay since these started showing up... clear made the first listings, then red and blue flooded the market, now black is going up and then gold. I think it's completely a 1/5 random situation.

Is it just me or is gold actually the ugliest one? I got a clear (and a black because I accidentally had two subscriptions), but I also really like the blue. The red is pretty sweet, too. The gold is the only one I actually don't like. Kinda surprised the chase isn't more ~special.

Not just you, I have a distaste for the clear and the gold, the only gold like POP I thought was good was the Doctor Strange one, I still the Black is the best one of these, and the blue, because it makes sense to me, Black normal Vader or Holographic Vader

I don't collect Star Wars and I'm not subscribed to Smugglers Bounty but I'll be damned if those mini Vader Hakiris don't look awesome

As a hikari collector*, the prices on eBay are laughable for a mini hikari Gold Darth Vader. For the most part, any hikari figure will plummet in price because they have a small niche. If most full size, smaller edition size Hikari figures go for $30-60 months after release, to buy a mini w/ a larger edition size for $100+ seems stupid.

Better to wait a few months if you really want one...

*I know that they lose value, I don't collect them for resale.

Finally got my box today, got the clear "silver" Vader which would've been my second choice after black so I'm OK with that. However, my shipping box had a nice, big hole in the side which managed to damage both POP boxes. I'm an opener but I'd still like these to arrive intact.

Please Funko, I'm begging you, get rid of DHL. They're horrible.

Oh and the shirt is awesome! Love it. Seems a little tight but I'm probably still carrying Thanksgiving around.

I'm happy the gold is a chase because that means I'll be less likely to get it.
