Hologram Leia POP would be my guess. I told myself I was only going to get the Rogue One box many months ago, but all these boxes have been great!

My biggest hope for this box would be to get a Pop Deluxe of a Landspeeder with Luke, or perhaps a translucent holographic Leia, maybe even with R2 projecting her?

Some characters I had hoped for in past boxes would be nice to get here , though unlikely, as they aren't important enough for a 40th anniversary box... an Imperial Gunner (which would have been better than the Vader we got in the Death Star box, since Vader didn't even appear on the Death Star during the scene for which the Pop is based on) would be awesome, and Dr. Evazan and/or Ponda Baba would be great too.

Uncle Owen/Aunt Beru combo...with burnt chases

While a Leia theme would be fantastic (and I'd really love to see a hologram Leia), unless they had that planned prior to Carrie Fisher's death, I'm not sure it will turn out that way. A 3 month turnaround is really fast for them to get new figures designed, approved, and produced.

I also like Owen/Beru combo with chases.

In all seriousness, though. With Grand Moff Tarkin being in the Death Star box we have Pops for all the "major" characters. Personally, I would absolutely love either an Imperial Navy Trooper or even better an Imperial Gunner. But in reality, I'm sure it will be holo Leia or even Ceremony Leia, either of which I am also super excited for. If there's a second Pop, maybe it would be General Dodonna. I feel like they'll make him eventually!

I'm hoping for a Death Star Gunner and a Rebel Fleet Trooper.

There's a lot of possibilities though. Hologram Leia, Ceremony Leia, Death Squad Commander, Dr. Evezan, Ponda Baba, Yakface, R5-D4.

A landspeeder would be awesome but I'm not sure we really need another Luke or Obi Wan.

It's too early, the box theme was just announced. They'll reveal the Pop later, probably a few days to a week from now.

What about a Leia/R2 combo? A recent Funkast with Reis O'Brien stated they were or had re-designed how the astromech Pops would bobble with the head actually being the part that would bobble. I could see some sort of R2- Pop deluxe with a hologram Leia. Maybe a Rock Candy of Leia would be the 2nd item. Thinking outside the box ,no pun intended, on this one. They could also put an exclusive or 2 new Mystery Mini since the 1st release is the 40th anniversary line. So many possibilities!

Funko has said they will continue to leak the contents of the Smugglers Bounty boxes. So soon we should have a small glimpse of what's to come for this box.

I have a lot to buy in the next couple of months, including borderline must-have boxes in GotG 2 and Wonder Woman, so I'll probably have to skip this box unless the Pop is something I can't live without. I hope they reveal it soon. There's no question that there are a lot of great options they could go with.

Plus tons more I'm sure. Obviously a lot of these are very unlikely, but if they stick to A New Hope and do a new character, these are the most likely. As far as variants on existing figures:

Holographic Leia
Ponda Baba missing an arm (or detachable arm)
X-Wing Luke Ride/Deluxe
Tatooine Luke outfit (with blaster instead of lightsaber0
Han Solo blaster action pose
Leia blaster action pose

And finally, total long shot, but in a way it makes sense....George Lucas

I want a light up R2 with sound effects! I mean, we did just recently learn about the new astromech mold...

But thinking about it more, I'd prefer a full-sized Leia... and I'd want her to be more like the blue Heisenberg or Miku Hatsune than previous holographic Star Wars Pops. In that aspect, the mini is perfect.

I'll be honest, if it was a tusken raider and bantha then i'd immediately sell my regular tusken raider. I'd be fine with wedge in an x-wing. Don't really want luke in it though. I'm already tempted to sell my hoth han since i got hoth han on the tauntaun. Don't care for duplicates of the same outfit/version of a character.

Funko said they will always reveal the main sub box item/ items beforehand. Seems like it was mentioned that it is part of their licensing agreement, but not sure about that part.
