MCC August - First Appearance Avengers

It Appears the next MCC Theme will be First Appearance Avengers.

As much as I wish it could a 2-pack of classic Ant-Man and The Wasp, I'm guessing it will be classic Thor, which could be just as cool!

What does everybody else think we will see?

Oooh so many great possibilities! My guess would be that given the recent specialty series announcement that we may end up getting an Iron Man MK 1 Pop. Or at least one can dream!! Also, we've never had an original comic version of Thor. I would be cool with either. Or both. Though there is also plenty of room for Hawkeye, Vision, Scarlet Witch, etc. So many great options!!

Okay, this is the first MCC box in a while that I'm 100% in on! I've been reading a lot of the original '60s first appearance issues lately, as well as reading "The Untold Story of Marvel Comics" by Sean Howe, and it's all been whetting my appetite for the OG incarnations of these characters. Bring on some Ditko and Kirby-styled Pops!

(I really hope this means we get a Mark I-styled Iron Man, but I'd be down with an original Hawkeye, too!)

I feel like the Classic Thor that has been teased for so long is a strong possibility but the recent Specialty Series makes Iron Man a possibility too. I'm more than okay with either one and as was mentioned classic Hawkeye, Vision or Scarlet Witch would amazing too. Even a classic Nick Fury would look cool.

I would really like a Wasp pop! She is a founding member and named the Avengers, and was their leader for a long time. The rest of the Avengers already have lots of Pops and minis and other items, give some of the original members some love!

I am so happy that a lot of people want the Mark 1 Iron Man to be the Pop! I hope they eventually release the Gold Mark 1 as well! Then maybe one day a Mark 1 Iron Man Freddy, i have seen a custom of it and it has potential!!

on the fence for this one. I would love the OG Iron Man Mark 1, which is one of the coolest armor designs out there. But don't need another classic cap or thor that looks more or less the same. might have to wait for spoilers for this one

I'm going to wait for a teaser on this one. A classic Loki would be my dream Pop. I would be okay with a Thor and Loki 2 pack. Wasp named the Avengers, right? I could see Wasp and Ant-man in this box, too. That would be great! Although Scarlet Witch was not an original Avenger I will take anything Scarlet Witch so I would super happy if she's in this box.

I'm kind of over Avengers pops BUT I'm subbing for this, there are just too many neat that could make that I'd want.

Iron Man Mark 1
Gray Hulk
Classic Thor WITH HELMET please
Nick Fury(since I'll never get the new one these days)

Those are my top four favorites, I wouldn't be as excited for anything else really, maybe classic colors Vision or classic Scarlett Witch, but I guess IF they make that version of her she'd really belong in the X-Men line like Quicksilver.

None the less, I hope I can afford it

Hmm... I'm curious as to what exactly this theme encompasses, because a lot of people seem to be asking for characters that are not part of the team's first appearance. Thor, Loki, Iron Man, Wasp and Ant-Man are the most likely candidates, and I'm hoping that we'll get more than one of them. I would love to get either both Thor and Loki, or Thor and Iron Man, with Wasp and Ant-Man included as mini pack-ins for the larger two Pops.

If the box includes more than just the first iteration of the team (in which case, I feel the box should have been called "Classic Avengers" instead), then I would love a Scarlet Witch to add to my Brotherhood of Evil Mutants (future box theme, please? I would love a classic Toad or Blob Pop!).

Maybe it's just me but I interpret it as Avengers members how they looked in their first appearances. I kind of agree Classic Avengers is a better name.

Not really a theme that interests me enough to order the box, tbh, especially after all the missteps with recent MCC boxes. I think the most likely candidate is Iron Man MK 1. Iron Man is my favorite Marvel character, but the MK 1 suit is probably my least favorite of his suits. I think Hawkeye is another strong possibility. It would be great if they put two Pops in the box. I can't make a final decision until something gets revealed.

This is easily the most excited I've been for a box. There's so many great possibilities. After being disappointed with the Homecoming box, this was a great follow up.

I want original original Avengers, so Iron Man, Thor, Ant-Man, Wasp or Hulk only please. But with Iron Man in Spider Man, Thor and Hulk in Ragnarok, I am hoping for Ant-Man and Wasp set myself.

If the pop(s) isnt Thor, Loki, Ironman, Hulk, Antman/Giantman and Wasp, then the "First Appearance" name is really misleading.

Not sure why people are hoping for Nick Fury when he had nothing to do with the Avengers comics.

What's the chances we will get a Thor pop if the next MCC box is probably Thor Ragnarok though? I know Funko likes to spam the most popular characters but I would be sorely disappointed if thats whats going to happen.
