I just dont like them as a company is all. People hated walmart for the things it did..but even though amazon does those same exact things and worse..they are somehow cool and hip.

Not a hate on amazon thread so I don't want to derail it..just glad I can do ht for the disney boxes.

Hopefully they will do the free shipping with Prime. That would save a lot of people some cash.

Yeah, it would definitely be helpful if it's eligible for Prime shipping. And plus international buyers might get access to the boxes. so far, both choices of avenues of distribution by Funko ain't to bad.

I don't tend to get most of the boxes, but I lean towards Marvel a lot, so I'm happy Amazon is getting it. Hopefully the price is about the same, but I wonder if we can expect the shipping to be a lot faster since that's what they are great at! I guess time will tell!

This is what I thought. I was under the impression the boxes were like LE in the thousands? But they've had a hard time moving some of them, while others go instantly. Maybe the shift to retailers is so that Funko doesn't have to worry about the overhead costs of storing/liquidating TONS of boxes.

Now that I think about it, smart business move haha. lol

or the costs associated with shipping thousands of boxes every couple of weeks, or the costs of customer service. Make 11,000 boxes, have them all delivered somewhere else and let that person deal with them.

My first choice would have been Disney only if it went to disney store. Even then, it would be painful as hot topic is closer.

Willing to wager that TrU was going to have been one of the retailers. Now I assume Entertainment Earth might get DC.

That's how it is for the hot topic I'm close to but the one my fiance has in his town doesn't have as many so that's why I'm happy with it. Hopefully, they'll be able to release some online and have no issues so that no one has any problems getting the Disney Treasurers box if they really want it. \:D/

I can't see this being a good thing or help sales at all. I was subscribed to all 4 boxes. Now I will only be buying the Disney box, and only if I like the contents.

I'm hoping it would also go to Amazon, but since it seems that all four boxes are going different places, I'm guessing Gamestop is going to be the place for it. More reason to cash in those old games I guess lol

Wonder if we'll get reveals like we used to. I could see stores maybe not wanting people to know, but that can work both ways.

I really hope they are still going to do spoilers for the boxes. I personally Like the possibility of getting free shipping from retail stores on these. Just wondering how this may affect the pricing for the boxes.

That's my biggest question! I can see HT maybe having Nerdette do something, but everyone else doesn't have a dedicated person to do spoilers/reveals. So I wonder if Funko will continue to do videos for it or not - I wouldn't be surprised if the websites shut down not too long after the new retailers sell their first box or two.

I bet they will, Amazon has a great shipping network.

Look what they did for WOOT, they now offer 2 day shipping for free since they partnered with amazon

If they are being distributed through Amazons warehouses and not a third party under Amazon then prime will likely apply.

Maybe Amazon will add it to their Subscribe and Save options so you can keep current on the box instead of ordering it piecemeal.

I wouldn't mind Target if they offer it online as well, and have a set date that they are putting it on the site. They just have a terrible track record of actually releasing stuff when they say they will (see: Holo Qui Gon, Yondu, I'm sure there are others).
