What's so great about Soda?

Included with each SODA can is a 4.25” vinyl figure and a collectible disc both with a 1 in 6 chase variant!

We even had a trip planned to NYCC—which we could NOT afford—just to attend Fright Night, but then the Cop-a-Pop collective cheated, cut to the front of the line, and grabbed up all of the tickets for themselves :angryfire:). So, unless Funko stops these cheaters, what’s the use of even trying anymore? :(

I love that you haven't opened your AP Soda yet, bravo. I will do the same if I get an AP Soda. Sorry to ask a silly question but what is a Cop-a-Pop collective? But what or whoever they are keep trying to get tickets. The day you get tickets after over 10 years will be epic and so much fun for you.

Cop-a-Pop is a collective group that charges members a fee. Then, whenever there’s a Funko Fundays or similar exclusives event that uses a waiting room (like SDCC does for their tickets), the first member of the collective to get into the ACTUAL room to purchase tickets, shares that link with the ENTIRE collective membership, so that they ALL immediately cut to the front if the line using that link. Then they usually go on Twitter to brag about their latest conquest. It’s sickening that they’re still getting away with it after years of Funko and NYCC and SDCC, etc. all knowing about it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Cop-a-Pop texts messages out once a month whenever they decide to make more money signing up new members. It was $40 to join (annually?) but may have gone up. I’d post an example of their announcements and activities here, but I don’t know how to add photos. XD

George Costanza loves soda, so much he’d name his kid soda lol

I like the chase/hunt of finding it but as always if you don’t get the chase it stings
I think if they were around $6 they’d be better, I’ve seen some for $15 and it kinda feels like a bit much
Thread of vaulted pops I’m selling, 1200 piece Chaos, SDCC Gus GiTD, SDCC Freddy’s ride, SDCC Whis and 9 other pops.

I really like the molds for the sodas and also the chases because most of the changes are pretty good.

Sodas are currently my favorite, but I started collecting before they came out and pops have most of my space, and it hurts to admit this but if I have to put a soda vs a pop into a tote for storage the soda can handle it better.

I like the fact that the can itself is more resistant to dings than Pop boxes. I like the size, it’s easier to carry and because of its size, the mold has to be different. I can fit more in a glass case too.

That was a funny episode with the baby name soda, lol. A can agree that a $6 price tag would be better lol

Less space usage is a definite plus. I also like the idea of getting a pog with the soda.

I do like the pogs. Wish the pogs had more of a shine if it was a chase soda. To stand out more

I kinda assumed the pog would be different for a chase soda.
That would be a cool distinction. Maybe in the future Funko will make the chase pog different (chase).

My biggest and only issue with the Sodas is the cans getting dented. I like to open mine and display the cans too but dents drive me crazy.

I know it's frustrating when stuff like that happens.. You should've easily been able to get into Fundays in 2013-2015 if you have been trying for over 10 years. Tickets for those three years were available for week(s).

The first time we tried to attend a Fundays Event was for the first Funko Fright Night, which I thought was in 2014 but was actually in 2016, so this is our 9th year of trying and failing.

I like the soda can shape appeal and how they expanded the idea to 3L sodas. I think the experience of opening them is also fun. How they keep it in a black bag to conceal whether it's a chase is exciting. It brings on the same sentiment when unveiling your proto. I like the design and how different it looks, charming. It helps that the packaging is less flimsy and very stackable.

15 is a bit much which is why I cut back on what I buy and thinned out what I have. I don't think they can do it for 6, but I'd be buying more at 10.

Of course, if you wait a month or so after release, you can usually buy commons on the secondary for 6. lol

I only got Sodas for lines that I'm trying to complete (Spider-Verse, Ted Lasso). Besides that, I don't really have any interest in Sodas anymore.
