I think it is primarily due to Deluxe, but also I think a lot of collectors were hoping the NFT release would have more obscure and never released Pops. I am a huge Star Wars fan, and love the original trilogy and I really like these. Was happy to finally hit a grail in a pack. Never really collected Deluxe before, but am excited to see these in person.

People were pretty harsh on these right away from the announcement, I think people just wanted something more creative than what we got

I hardly have any luck with redeemable, but I’m actually looking forward to the mythic pack . Will be hard to get as it will be a limited number. Also the $130 price ouch

Yeah, I think I am going to at least try for the Mythic pack. At least you get something guaranteed and it is limited. As a fellow Star Wars fan, hope you get a Mythic!

Going to try but not gonna sweat it, I think with only 499 its going to go quick, even with that price point.

It will be interesting to see a Series 2 and what that might be. While I like they tried something different, I would love to go back to non-deluxe versions.

Yeah, agree with you there. As a Star Wars collector, it was important to get this first edition of Star Wars NFTs.

That could happen. I know they changed the Elf ones. I wonder what would happen to the market if they decide to do that after redemption. Either way, I am excited to get them!

That is true! Well either way, I am excited to see what these ultimately look like. I haven’t collected Deluxe before, so with these and hoping I get the Mythic Freddy, I guess my collection is “growing” haha.

I think it was because the same characters have been released several times prior to this NFT. Although these are classic characters, people that are in their 30s usually love the prequels era. I have mentioned this a few times in other threads but I think many people would’ve been happy with some awesome clone troopers and unreleased funko pops like Asajj

I have seen alot of people suggest the clone troopers or characters from clone wars that havent been seen before. Lets see what the future holds

I would be excited to the 100 if they told us the next Star Wars wave had a Freddy. Or Frannie.

Otherwise I am cautiously hopeful. Just like Star Trek. They should totally break down the Star Wars NFT into different eras or categories.

Original. Prequel. Sequel. Animated. They could do different Star Wars categories for 50 different waves.

i think they would have been better but disney has a lot of control over how things are made with their IP so i dont think they had much of a choice. i dont have enough room for larger pops anymore and i didnt really like the redeemables so i passed on the drop. if i really want one i will buy it after people have them in hand and i see how they look.

I was a bit disappointed seeing the deluxe pops. To the point where I wasn't as excited when I pulled a grail on my 3rd premium like I was with TF, HP and MLP2 but I'm still gonna redeem it and hopefully get it signed some day

Yeah I feel like it was a missed opportunity. So much potential for some awesome pops on the NFT route. Also chance for awesome Freddy flow.

Hopefully next round is better.

Luckily its not like an absolute one strike rule. They can hopefully apply what works and what didn't and refine for wave 2. More focused and a Freddy and watch the different reaction from fans.

Personally I really like this set of Pops. While I'm not a huge fan of the Deluxe box sizes, the pose and detail choices are great. They've done so many standard size Star Wars pops already, not sure what they could release in an NFT set that would be that interesting. Franny as Boushh maybe?
