Funko killed HOD's NFT with new POPs

POPs are similar to HOD's NFT, so funko just messed with those who run after NFT

I started collecting NFT and HOD was my first set, but after this image any chance of buying a New Funko POP NFT will be zero

Seeing this just doesn't sit right with me. The amount of money people spent on NFT packs or just buying a redeemable outright seems like it might be a complete waste in this case.

Very close. But they do that with a lot of the exclusives lately. Probably should have not done it close to any NFT molds.

Yeah, this doesn’t sit right with me either. I’m not foolish enough to think that Funko wouldn’t make other Pops for the same IP, but you would think the molds would still be distinctive.

in an NFT group with more than 50 thousand members we will open a petition for funko, what she is doing is killing the market for us who spend several dollars to get an exclusive.,some may be against it, but we do need to do something or it will kill the NFT market

I'm of two minds about it. I feel bad for the people who spent the money to obtain one of the NFTs, but I'm also glad they're being released, because I never could've afforded them otherwise, and really wanted the character/version of the character. Heck, I had a difficult enough time trying to understand NFTs just so I could get the Scarecrow from the Nolan line, so I'll be glad if I never have to worry about NFTs again. lol

That said, I wouldn't mind a mainline release of the Nolan Pops, if they were different enough from the NFTs. Same goes here, I suppose. I'll definitely scoop these up, and I won't lie- I do want some version of Criston Cole as well (and the Waif from the GoT line, but I think that one's set in stone), but I feel for the people who spent a lot of money to acquire the NFTs thinking they were the only way to get them. It's a tricky thing to navigate, and I think a lot of companies are still figuring out where the line is.

Very weird move but i guess im not surprised.

The company has a history of doing stuff like this.

I spent big money on my Aemond redeems. Will still love them and will still buy the common and chase. lol

For someone who really into NFT and willing to pays for something meant for NFT...it's sad that we get something similar in the open market. So the question is.....whos willing to pay more for NFT when you can get something similar which might cost much cheaper in the open market.

I agree that it was disappointing seeing the HOD reveals at Fundays after spending money and effort obtaining the nft redeemables.

I didn't event think about this when they where announced. Had to to look up the NFT's to compare and its really a shame they would do something like that but I'm not surprised by this move.

I think if this were released later on; probably would have been better. But a little too soon based on the NFT set. Funko tends to release characters with similar variations or molds after it has been vaulted.

Thats kinda whack but this is Funko people get used to it. They’ve done this in the past before. Sucks to see because people literally spend so much money in packs just to hit one legendary. This will probably just kill the NFT market smh

The chases are way to close for comfort! They should just do the commons that way everyone can get the characters they want for their collections without stepping all over the awesome NFT molds

I never even touched this drop, but I agree that those reveals are far too similar to the NFT legendaries. Makes me nervous about shelling out money for future NFT exclusives I want. I'd even argue the general release Aemond chase is even cooler than the NFT one since it will glow in the dark.

This is the real issue.

These Viserys and Aemond Pops are essentially going to be NFT exclusive boxes ](*,)

with common/Chase Pops in them at a 6X markup. That's how similar they look. The more I think about it the more bummed I get.

This isn’t a good look by Funko, but it’s also weird because they haven’t done this with any other NFT sets. There were a ton of complaints from people that these Pops should have been commons, guess Funko listened.

It's rough and I really hope this isn't the path they're taking with future releases. I know there are a lot of complaints that NFT physicals should be commons but I think a lot of complaints also come from people that aren't willing to learn how to join the NFT community and participate.

I've loved that NFT items have been limited and a fun "chase" but if there's going to be another "con" vs "shared" thing starting then that will be a big bummer. I know this is the first instance and hopefully that's all it is. Keep NFT going!!!

This totally bums me out HoD was the first NFT that I got good RNG one and got 4 legendaries from only 2 packs so I was happy to pull them now if feels so meh since they are so similar….
