Funko Big Headz
I found some old concept art for this Funko product called Big Headz. I Found info on this old funko spreadsheet:
http://www.funkospreadsheet.com/bigheadz.htm
Anyone know the story behind these?

I’ve never seen a prototype or anything other than that unfortunately.

Kinda neat to see, my guess is maybe a transition point from the wobblers to pop form.

Those are a interesting find and wonder why they didn't make it to the Funko world? Those could expand to such a cool line kind of like the Soda line.

Who knows, you think carol or someone on the forums has the samples?

Maybe, the question is did these or pops come first?

If these would have been made it would have been before pop.

There are many pieces that don’t even get to that stage unfortunately. I would actually say it’s rarer for a sample or proto to be made and be canceled or not approved. It’s much more common for artwork or an announcement to be made and then not happen. If you look at older toy fair catalogs you can see can see concept art of pieces that don’t get made.

I have seen a few of these go for sale here and there but they seemed to be really limited.

Makes sense. I unfortunately do not have old catalogues, but I understand that considering stuff like the snoop pop never got made.

I can imagine how limited they would be, over a decade later and still coming across them besides ebay of course.

Are you talking about these or Motorheadz? I’ve seen a few (and I mean a few) Motorheadz show up on eBay but I have never seen a Big Headz anywhere other than the concept art. Here, collections, eBay, online etc. I don’t even know if they were shown at Toy Fair or not.

Not that I know of, though it feels like I learn new things that they made all the time.
