How do you display your Spastiks?

Postby SpastikSkooter » Wed Aug 04, 2004 1:39 am

You had to know that the question was coming - Is there anyone out there who prefers to remove their Spastiks from the package for display? I kinda thought if doing mine out sitting on top of the package with the back showing so you can gander at that great artwork. Anyone else have any ideas?

I like the Spastiks in their tubes myself, but I also like my
wobblers in their box. What I like better about the Spastiks
is the tube is clear all the way down. Funko is great about
packaging.

I leave them in the tubes because they are much easier to dust that way.

OK, yes, I'm lazy...

I havent really come up with a set way to display them yet but I know i like them out of the box. They just look too cool to me to leave them in the tube.

i leave the Spastiks in em, and really like the
designs FunKO used on the inserts!! :D

only problem i find with Spastik tubes.. there is no way to stack them ontop of each other.
unless they were to start making the base of the tube so they would fit nicely
into the top of others. would make for more room if your limited on space.

I like some in the tube, some out of the tube...I rotate them around. Not as much fun if you don't play w/ them a little. Play Jenga w/ them :P

I stack them in pyramid form on top of eachother, probably not the best idea. A crash waiting to happen i'm sure

i haven't thought of a way yet. if i have the space, i imagine they would be out of the tube, with the insert behind them.

I display mine outside the tubes. I place each one's tube behind it with the fun graphics showing.

Mateo!
I do the same thing. Some in some out. And I do it with my Wobblers, too! I take a few out for a week or so and rebox them and release another 10.

My personal opinion is, if you never remove them from their boxes, you're missing some of the cool sayings, fun and jokes!

If you're careful removing them, no one will be the wiser! 8)

You can stack them on top of each other if you put one
on top of two, placing it in the middle....does that make any scence?
I did that for now, until I get more shelf space.

I think that I enjoy mine out of the package. You really cant see the cool art work unless the tube is turned around, in which case, you can't see the Spastik. To each his own I suppose. I just dont want them to endup like old Stinky Pete. Bitter and angry at all the other toys who are out of the package and played with.

If you're REALLY into the work, I came up with a plan for shelving...

Each shelf level has to have an approximately 1 inch too short clearance for the tube... After plotting out where which one will go and how many will go on each shelf, you can drill 1/2 inch deep holes in the exact diameter of the spastik tubes on the top and bottom of each shelf, and when you install them, you put them in with the spastiks in place, and they're in there until the shelf dies, but they can be rotated at any time... Put in some nice back lighting and a peice of plexiglas in front, and they cannot get dusty or damaged, and can be viewed beautifully... you can even add peices of wood between each spastik to give each its own "cubbie"... :D

If you REALLY want the work, try using this shelving unit as a wall between rooms, and even with clear plexi on both sides, so one room sees the back art, the other sees the spastiks... It would look nice... if you're ready for the work and actually have the spastiks...
