Psycho Santa

Postby mikem » Tue Oct 26, 2004 10:16 pm

I was looking through my check list and notice that the Psycho Santa is a Lee's Toy Review Exclusive. I'm wondering if you have to subscribe to the magazine in order to get one. I already subscribe to get the Count Funkula.Anyone have info on this?

Thanks
Manteca Mike

In a nutshell, they'll be $10 each plus shipping, and no one is going to have to buy another years' subscription to get one- you don't even need to be a subscriber to buy your very own Psycho Santa (+1).

For more info on Psycho Santa (+1) you'll want to pick up the upcoming Lee's Toy Review.

I think there may be a few variations of Psycho Santa.

So would the variations be part of the 100 or are we looking at more than a 100 counting variants?

I believe there will be several hundred Psycho Santa's available- somewhere south of 1,000.

Ok, I thought I remembered seeing on a list that I think Adam posted, that this was gonna have a production # of a 100. Oh well, that's good news I was worried about everyone being able to get one.

I was worried too, but I guess the "100" was a few hundred off. Once they realized how large Funko's group of collectors was, they probably decided on a much larger quantity.

When I called Lee's again I was told there will be No variations, the "+1" Ness is for the psycho elf. Which is the same as the Santa with different paint scheme (thus a variation rumor). This came direct from Jeanie, who was asking the man (forgot his name)in charge of the Funko stuff over at Lee's, while I was on the phone with her.

Psycho Santa will have red clothing, as will Psycho Elf, but Santa will have a green face, while the Elf will have a gold face.

Yes, I was wrong... or was I?

At approx. 9:30 (central), Jeanie of Lee's gave me a telephone call where I placed my Santa & Elf order, and at the same time she told me the colors of the two Plastiks. The info I got from her is what I posted above. So technically, it ain't my fault.

BTW- I hope your thumbs are all healed up, MRH. Did you have to soak them in salt water and freshen them with baby powder today?

I just noticed a charge on my account from 12/3 in the ammount of $48.80. They'd told me it would be $48.96, but when I look at the details of the transaction, it doesn't specify a vendor, but the city is Monroe, CT, so I'm fairly sure that's the charge for Santa and the Elf! Hopefully that means mine are on their way, I'll post an update as soon as they arrive!

I just spoke to Lee's toys... they said that Psycho Santa is currently being held in customs. However, they hope that they will have them by the end of this week. They plan on shipping them out as soon as they receive them.

Awesome! I was hoping to get these during the holidays! It seems as of lately all the Funko releases are being delayed. I hope this is not a trend.

Kevin,
This seems to be a trend for the whole vinyl toy industry. The chinese factories are overwhelmed with orders and are delayed. Vinyl figures are really exploding now. Then add in the added security checks now being performed on random shipments. From what I've been told, a lot of ships are being held up out of port for these checks.
