Collecting Spastik Plastik Question

I've been obsessed lately with the Spastik Plastik line and would like to begin collecting them, specifically the Monkey Assassins. I found a couple on Ebay but I'm not sure what a fair price would be. I've been looking for a price guide (like poppriceguide.com) but can't seem to locate one. Does anyone here know of any price guides? If not, anyone willing to talk about prices you have paid?

I have been collecting other things (records, guitars, posters etc.) for years and I know that a "fair" price is determined by what you're willing to pay, supply and demand and many other factors. What I'm trying to establish is a good jumping off point. I know what I'm willing to pay but don't want to over pay or be the idiot with a low-ball offer. Any help would be appreciated.

For the record, I don't collect as an investment. I collect because I love the stuff and want to have it around.

that is such a hard question to answer. Things have changed so much in the last two years and prices have gone down for much of the Spastik line. The good news is that it is a great time to be a collector of this great Funko line.

I saw a Monkey Assassin on Ebay for $75 (Crazy 88 Red Face) and while I am very interested in that specific piece, I don't want to overpay on my very first piece. It sets a bad precedent.

I would not spend that much on that piece. It is not that rare. I would think that $35-50 would be right.

Paper + Plastick has some 88's on their site. Although they don't have the red face, the others are only $10 each.

Monkeys are great. Get them all. If you watch ebay, you'll see Spastiks sold in lots from time to time. But stay away from glow Gill until I get mine.

Got it. If I come across a glow Gill, it's Squird's. I'm not really a completionist but the Monkeys speak to me. I have a feeling the wallet will be in for a beating.

Sorry I just saw this, feel free to PM me about any questions, if you take your time you can get most of them fairly cheap. The only issue with Monkey Assassins is not only are you competing with Funko collectors but also Less Than Jake collectors too. They were designed by the drummer of LTJ. Like Bear said that price is too high IMO.

I pulled the trigger on these just because I love the sculpt, Funko or not. I am a bit concerned the One in Carbonite I ordered in May still hasn't arrived though...

That's so cool James! I was able to get a sub too!
Maybe Vinnie is packaging them together for July. I ordered a crazy 88 also.
