Rock Candy Vinyl Figures!

I finally found a Harley Quinn. Well, it's the second one I've found since they came out, but the first one had a completely crushed box and I couldn't bring myself to buy it. Now it's in the Harley collection.

What Harley did you get? The reg, or New 52 one?

The regular one. I'm a big fan since he animated series started. I'd probably pick up a new 52 if I saw it, but the original is the one I wanted the most.

I tested out the Target DPCI from Brickseek (058-02-0647), and it had inventory but not on the action figure endcap or another little endcap in electronics.

So I keyed the DPCI in store, did a little hunt for the aisle number, and found a fairly new (at least to me) Funko section on the back wall between books and electronics. All 2016 DC figures, but the 2/28/17 planogram set may have synced all stores to give Rock Candy shelf space in that back area.

But we are doing an awful lot of legwork for an assortment that has never been shown with a Target exclusive sticker. Pink Harley and Modern Batgirl have shown up in AU and UK but they might not even have a US retailer buyer yet. So until Funko officially announces them, I still have a hearty amount to catch up on.

Then a black/white Harley being sold out of Japan.
If it were the more classic Harley in black and white to represent Bruce Timm's work on Batman: TAS, probably.
But I thought the point in making '11 Suicide Squad Harley an SDCC exclusive was because Roller Derby is the more-preferred modern costume for her. SDCC and the pink/white repaint are fine. But this is where variants start feeling like filler.

, the hair thing sucks but can be easily repaired. As far as paint flaws, we already know not all paint apps are the best. For some of the paint flaws maybe the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser can help.

My She-Hulk had a few dabs of glue... or something... on the back. And Harley's window is loose underneath the RC header.
But both figures themselves are fine, and they were low-priority pick-ups so I'm not going to double dip.

Moxxi is the real hero this week, though. Great sculpt and a great paint job to accompany it. Now that my Barbie collection is complete I might focus on Monster High for the rest of March. And then pine away for a Toralei one that turns my avatar into a three-dimensional piece of vinyl awesomeness.

It's really the zebra swimsuit Barbie that shocked me. It's as if Funko took the idea of "rock candy" too literally.

Don't let the photo on the back fool you. Having compared the RC '59 Swimsuit Barbie to an actual '59 Swimsuit Barbie, they're comparable in complexion. Original Barbie has a little more green tint in the plastic, the RC has a little more yellow tint in the plastic. Tan would be several shades darker, closer to Catwoman's skin tone. Who is still very, very lightly tanned. I'm more critical of the slight chalkiness of the paint application than the tone.

Poison Ivy has a nice olive complexion that doesn't immediately shout "green skin" like other versions of Ivy have.

I once had a friend, who, like Wiggy, liked Goth girls. He wouldn't be happy with dating anything darker than the white on Moxxi's face. Pretty sure he's still single. There might be a lesson tucked into there.

I'm not sure what you mean because the other Rock Candy Barbies have the same complexion as the flesh-toned DC and Marvel figures. Zebra swimsuit Barbie actually has orange skin.
