Protecting your Fabrications from Dust

So far I am a mostly in box collector with my Pops, at least until I find a permanent residence and can get some nice display cases, as I think the box art does a great job accenting the figure and it keeps dust off the figures. With Fabrications having open packaging, I was curious how you all protect your collection from the elements? Is there a trick, or do I just have to dust more often?

Build a screen for the box (maybe steal one from a 6" or 9" POP box?) or dust them. To remove dust from fabric, tape looped around your fingers, sticky side out, works well. Just gently press it on and peel it off.

Does Michaels carry an acrylic box that they would fit in?

Thanks for the tips Claire. Do you know anywhere to get that material without dissecting one of my Pop boxes? I keep my boxes in box and don't want to kill the box to any of my 6" or 9" Pops. That tape trick sounds good though!

Great idea Stacy! I need to check Michaels or Hobby Lobby for a box like that, and see if it would be more cost efficient than building something to attach to my box. I know we have one of those stores in my town, but I've only been in there a couple times so I can't remember which one we have.

Having an open window may be a love/hate thing! Since you can feel and huge the figure, but yeah it'll get dusty for sure!

I recommend canned air to blow it off. That way, you don't touch the plush and accidentally work in any dust further. This is what I do with my plushies (and I have far more than just the fabrikations). Or, turn it over and shake it, int he case of chewbacca.

Oh wow! That's a great idea. I normally use a blow dryer on cool or warm/low or medium heat for cleaning and fur fluffing, but depending on the material the heat can be somewhat damaging. I'll definitely have to try this with my other plush. Thanks

It may not be the best looking fix but you can always use Sudan wrap, cheap and efficient

I wish they made clear protective cases for Fabrikations.. just like what they have for Funko Pops.
