I think there's a difference. An error such as the batman reverse color on the symbol adds value because it's almost a variation and its rarity. Same as Daenerys different color dragons error. Something like an arms missing or paint work is horrible doesn't really add value.

Sometimes paint variations can be cool like the metallic riddler chase, however, it shouldnt be considered an error

The only valuable ones were the “error” symbol Batman and Batgirl. The Tywin Lannister wasn’t really an error, I think it was a production change.

Yes those are awesome error pieces, there are also some other interesting ones like the fully chrome mandalorian, the blue sword tanjiro, and the pre release eren jaeger that arent necessarily errors but rather examples of where the figure was changed once in production.

What are your guys thoughts "error pops". Why do some of them have high value? When is it considered "error" and when is it considered a quality control issue?

The Kobe pops are difficult because there are a few versions where the pop is the same but the box is different (one 11 and one 24) but then the boxes themselves also dont seem to be unique to one figure.. so you cant tell which is the error if any vs whether people just swapped the figures and boxes around
