Are Super Mario Pops coming this year?

Hoping for a Nintendo license agreement to happen. I've heard Nintendo is a hard license to get and I've heard funko has tried a few times to get it.

The fact that we got Banjo-Kazooie Pops this year, after years of begging from me lol

, I hope this signals a change in the winds regarding treasured gaming IPs. But Nintendo is very protective of their IP's (apparently it was incredibly difficult for Nendroid to obtain the rights to make Nintendo figures, but once they saw how successful the sales were Nintendo lightened up).

Still here's hoping Funko is able to make some more magic. I mean they did get Pokemon and that was one where NONE of us thought they'd get.

Could be Nintendo wants a huge cut of the profits more so than other companies or maybe Nintendo doesn't like the pop design.

I think with them making Banjo Kazooie and Kingdom Hearts, we’ll eventually see it happen. But as everyone says, it’s going to be very difficult given the licenses.

Possibly but I also think Nintendo is watching and wanting to make sure that what ever does come out is not overly produced and showing up at discounted stores.

Obviously that wouldn't happen but I think they should start with a Nintendo Store exclusive and maybe even theme park exclusive.

Might be hard to initially get but it'll show them the real demand out there.

Getting pokemon was a huge shock. But even then they're strict and that's the reason we won't get shiny variants

I totally get that the license to Nintendo characters is probably expensive or Nintendo won't give it up for obvious reasons... But Funko and Nintendo need to come to an agreement. If Sony and Disney can for Spiderman, anything is possible. lol

This would be a huge license for them but Nintendo is well documented for having a choke hold over there licensing.

It has been painfully made aware over the years that we likely won't ever see it, but that doesn't stop me from wanting them.

I would totally get:
Mario
Luigi
Samus Aran in full armor
Samus Aran out of armor
Dr Mario
Fox McCloud

I would maybe get:
Diddy Kong
Donkey Kong
Boo
Shy Guy
Other versions of Mario and Luigi
Other characters I can't think of right now, ha.
