NYCC Exclusives To Be Available at Other Stores

I'm recalling a reddit thread now, where people were figuring out which retailer sold what. They weren't all figured out early, probably about 80% of them.

There were the usual leaks from store employees. I'm sure we'll get the same this time.

The announcement regarding what retailers would have what was a little over 24 hours ahead of time. I flew to San Diego with one of them printed out on the Wednesday afternoon & had it in my hands when I got on the Funko line Thursday morning. It wasn't days ahead it was like a day...

I wasn't active on the board at that point but while the info may have been floating around days before SDCC I received an email from another retailer I do business with that acutally had pictures of all the pops and which chains would carry them. Can't remember if we got it from Funko but it was an official one and we got it like the day before. This was confirmation for us...but hey we'll all know pretty soon

There was nothing formal from Funko. By that point, there was plenty of info on various sites, so I'm sure someone else could have easily compiled the e-mail you describe.

If its like SDCC was, various store employees should start leaking info over the next few days. No one knows anything for sure yet.

So I was just at HT when their shipment arrived and I can confirm one of the NYCC exclusives being there.
They had a large box of Jack Skellingtons with vampire bear.
They couldn't tell me when they are allowed to sell them but they had them.
They also had a Once Upon a Time Prince Charming with HT sticker? Didn't get to see it but it arrived along with Hunger Games POPs

Iron Throne and orange Catbug are the only normal NYCC ones I need other than Toy Tokyo but unless they have a bundle of just their Godzilla Pops then I doubt I'll have those lol

so hopefully my store won't put them out early and I can atleast get IT

12 was available for less than a week from forbidden planet. Im hoping ten will either be available from there barnes and noble or hot topic like 4 with jelly babies or 11 with handles

spacesuit Ten is limited to 2000 pieces though, none of the SDCC numbered ones were in stores so as much as I'd like it to be easily obtainable, it'll probably be just web stores like with the numbered SDCC ones.

Just talked to one of my local Hot Topics and confirmed that they will be putting all of their NYCC exclusives on sale Thursday, 10-8-15. The rep I spoke w/advised they will be getting whatever exclusives they get over the next 6 days and will have them available Thursday!

looks like i'll be making sure I make time on the 8th I just want 2 thrones. that's all 1 for my got collection and one for my Marvel /TV collection (lol why not)

by the way . is it still safe to say
Limited Edition, doesn't exactly mean Limited quantity?

I'd guess the quantity is however many they already made, and won't make anymore in the future.

I'm thinking based on all the comments about the throne that it's going to be the blue crystal Hesenberg of this release- it'll sell out first thing in the morning and be tough to find from then on.

Some HTs did not allow holds on SDCC exclusives and others did, so you'll need to ask your particular store.

From what I remember B&N and HT both allowed online orders at midnight, but I don't recall midnight in which time zone.

If SDCC is any indication, then yes. I hit B&N at open, then HT at its open (2 hours later) and then ran by GS and all released their SDCC exclusives at store open. The biggest crowd was at HT, 2nd was B&N. I didn't make GS until noon and the associate told me no one had even looked at Pops before me!

they're not supposed to hold convention pops for you. but with most stores and employees its ymmv and if you know them well enough.

This is really helpful! I didn't realize B&N opens earlier. Looks like they open at 9 by me, and it's attached to a mall with a HT, so I can camp out in front of the store before they officially open.
