NYCC 2016 POP discussion thread

Scored the Freddy Funko taxi this morning. Now to come up with a gameplan for online shopping tonight.

gamestop should have them in store and on sale tomorrow... Just left my gamestop and they had my killing joke in the building, but could not sell it to me until tomorrow.

If I can get out of tomorrow/tonight with at least a SS Trunks and Chef Deadpool, I'm going to be very, very happy.

I'll be able to get the HT exclusives, so that's a bonus.

I'm hoping my Gamestop actually get's their Pops in. As of the end of business today they had nothing, and are hoping they arrive before noon tomorrow.

I realized late last night I just don't have the funds I thought I would, so I won't be able to get a single item today.
I'm pretty angry at myself for not preparing better and now it means I probably won't be able to get the TWO items I wanted. Not the end of the world, but still a big bummer. I'll go wallow in self pity now....

Well, poo. Only 2 GameStops in my area (out of a possible 50) received the Killing Joke Joker, and they are both in Bristol! That's not my closest city of the 3.

Oh well, I could order online but I would rather pick it up in store. Think I'll wait to see if more stores receive him later. Almost all the stores got Trunks though so it looks promising.

I tried reserving a Kitty Pyrde online to be picked up at the store and got an email back saying they can't do it. Gave the store a call and the employee said they can't reserve pops online for these or through call ins. Apparently, they don't even have them yet...

What is the experience for you guys?

Stopped at 3 Gamestop s in the north Jersey area and none had their exclusives yet, so glad I snagged trunks online

My Gamestops will reserve exclusives but only for that day. I reserved the Stan Lee Dorbz on SDCC day and they called me and said I had to pick up that day. I said that was fine and I did.

Don't forget about ThinkGeek people.. they're owned by gamestop. if you're near a store, they have the GS NYCC stock. They swear the NYCC stuff is online too, but i was unable to find them.

also... on another note...

EVERY SINGLE Killing Joke Joker box had a scuff where the hat meets the plastic window. The hat is too large and rubs. So I seriously doubt you're going to find a mint window on this one. Good thing I'm OOB.

Thankfully, things worked fine for me. Got Rainbow Batman, Killing Joke Joker, and Batgirl online last night. Woke up this morning and ordered Grenade Joker online as well. Word is that Fugitive will have White Lantern Batman live at Noon EST, so if I get that, will be a clean sweep....

Reserved Rainbow Batman online around noon, went and picked him up shortly after, no issues. They had 2-3 of each of their shared exclusives sitting behind the counter. I was able to do the same with Dr. Strange and Stan Lee back at SDCC. Like Fawny said, they'll only hold them until they close that day.

Got everything at GameStop and probably grabbing Behemoth from HT later today! Kitty and Joker are seriously beautiful pieces! It doesn't take the sting off missing Thanos but I'm definitely happy.

I've been out of the pop loop for about two months now (allowed time for my wallet to recover after SDCC ). After looking at the list of shared exclusives,I only saw two that I wanted...Killing Joke Joker & Kitty Pride. Picked up both during my lunch break from work.

I was able to hold and pick up Kitty today at the Gamestop in a small town outside my city. They still had four others besides mine when I got there, as well as SDCC exclusives left. I didn't go to the one closest to me because earlier they were still waiting on their shipment, but then later people were reporting that they weren't putting their exclusives out until tomorrow. Did anyone else come across this?

Nothing was ever mentioned during the Periscope when it was announced. I'm assuming it's a joke(?) or simply wrong information. As far as I know there's no plans for a Behemoth Chase.

So I feel like I'm basically good on NYCC pops. I wouldn't reject a White Lantern or a Space Ghost or a Mega Man but since I've got a snowball's chance in hell of seeing those I'll let it slide. The only case in which the odds don't matter is Thanos. I am NOT coming out of this without Thanos.

So, something happened with SS Joker in my area, and no one knows what. It seems as though none of the B&Ns got their shipment. My two stores still have their computers saying they have a dozen coming in, and none of the surrounding stores in SC or TN have any, either. They just haven't come yet. I wasn't looking for any, I just overheard as I was in there, but it's unfortunate for anyone who was.

My B&N's never got the SS Jokers either...But my favorite NYCC piece this year is definitely the Killing Joke Joker!! He's such a great sculpt! It truly was a great bunch of exclusives
