In HT search look up number 10198878 it wont come up under Castiel or SN at all. The whole thing is acting bizarro!

Deathstroke has been showing up now. What are people's feelings on some stores dropping the BOGO to 30% AND the raising of exclusive prices like $15 for this one? I understand a few HT Exclusives were $15 already, but do you think this will be an more common trend?

It's pretty much killed my interest for getting anything but exclusives from HT, outside of the occasional Hot Cash sale. It stinks they seem to be raising the prices on exclusives too, but I suppose there's not much we can do about that (still cheaper than PC for a single Pop).

Hot topic is very inconsistent with pricing. If you remember the exclusive 6 inch pop discord was only $14 and the Disney Carl was only 7.50 however the 6 inch flocked wampa was $25 and now the unmasked deathstroke is $15. What is their basis for pricing. Additionally ht is very glitchy with their computer system.

Went to 2 HT today in search of Unmasked Deathstroke and both told me they got about 20-30 in and someone came in and bought them all. I'm not freaking out but it was just one of those moments... I

that's pretty ridiculous. they should start limiting them somehow. mine got them in today, I asked them to call if they got any Arrow or The Flash exclusives in but they didn't, maybe they thought I just meant exclusive of Arrow or The Flash and not the shows in general lol

it was 3 hours after they posted on their Instagram so I didn't even bother calling, I'll order it online if/when it shows up.

Yeah I was shocked... they told me to drive to another one to check it out because they got their boxes today and they knew they hadn't opened up yet. But it would have been an extra 30 min drive and I needed to beat rush hour leaving Vegas. I'll just either catch in store next weekend when I am back down there or order online. I do think its a little insane that they let them buy so many but I think some sales reps don't care. Especially if they are on commission, which I am not sure if HT employees are.

My local Hot Topic put up a new sign recently saying they will not sell more than 5 of any pop, including commons, to one person, and that they also reserve the right to refuse to sell multiples to any customer if they believe they have the intention of reselling them. Hopefully this will be company wide and they will start to slow down the flippers.

I wonder if they will really follow through with it since the HTs near me are also near Frank and Sons.

I believe a lot of frank and sons vendors are friends with some of the HT employees and have them hold a lot of pops for them.

This should be the case for all stores, my mall has both HT and GameStop, find a Chase piece, take it to Treasures (Collectables store) and sell it for $40-50. All in the same building. An employee at HT told me there's a group of 3 guys that do this weekly. Sad and unfortunate for REAL collectors, not flippers.

5 is still to much IMO, I think 3 is reasonable enough (could also make a case for 2). If 1 guy walks in and buys 5 HT exclusives, I'd bet money he's gonna resell. Hot Topic's don't usually get that big shipments of a specific exclusive, I think mine only gets like 12 or so, I'd be pretty ticked off if someone walks in and buys 1/3 or 1/4 of those.

Well for my ht I'd say 2 max. We don't have a big section as it is so they only get like 3 a piece for exclusives and 1 each for commons..makes getting them really hard around here

That would be awesome I was in a few weeks ago to my closest HT a group of people were buying all the exclusives, ALL of the, another customer was asking about Elvis stich and was told the last 3 we're being bought. It was right as the Dr.Who pops were rolling out they had all of them. I found out from my friend who works there they do this on the regular, it takes the fun out when the only way you can get your favorite characters is to pay 3 times the price online.

My local HT limits 3 (THREE!!) con exclusive styles per customer. I still think that's way too many when they only get maybe 10 or so in store. When it comes to buying exclusives, HT or Con, it should be limited to two per customer. It's only fair to everyone :dontknow:

My store told me in regards to blind boxes, that in the coming days, if you want to buy more than 5 boxes you will no longer get the BOGO 50% off since there are people who buy the case, take it home and pick/weigh out the figures [chases] they want and then return the rest.

That would suck for those of us like myself who recently have been buying a case off the shelf from them.
