I passed thinking that was too high for a new Pop that just hadn't seen widespread distribution yet  If the distribution really was a one-time-only deal then these will probably settle in chase territory as far as price. But should there be another wave then the price could drop, maybe by a lot. I know everyone is saying there won't be anymore, but I remember the same kind of panic talk and crazy eBay pricing when FN-2187 first hit the stores.

Tres, I think the difference here is Funko specifically said in their press release that this Bats will be an "extremely limited supply" or something to that effect to celebrate Target's new Funko section. They've never said that before about any Target exclusive or really any regular store exclusive period that I can remember.

This is a good point. There could be Targets in the middle of nowhere that got these and random shoppers might've bought them because they "like Batman and the color orange!". THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY HAVE.

I am all for rare Pops. Makes hunting fun. But I have a problem when I check 7 stores and none of them got batman. I fine with limiting them to 2 per store if all stores get a shipment. Especially if they aren't being restocked. When no stores within an 1.5 drive of me gets one, that's when I have a problem.

I passed on one for 27 with free shipping. I settled on 65 with shipping. That's what I get for waiting. I wasn't going to make the mistake and wait for it to be in the 70-80 range.

I agree. I don't think East Tennessee got them at all and I called from Johnson city to Chattanooga and all in between. Not one got a batman

As a retail employee, if I see an exclusive on the shelf when I clock out, and I'm able to, I'll buy it. It's going to my collection. My problem is when employees buy to flip.

It kind of sucks though that these saw such a limited and seemingly random distribution.

Speaking as a former Target employee, I would NOT recommend calling the store. Odds are, they won't even understand what you're asking about and, even if they do, may not be honest about their search results. And that's assuming they actually bother to search at all.

I cant tell you how many times the 17 year old me got a call at Target where someone was looking for something and all I did was put them on hold for a few minutes, then came back and said something like, "I'm sorry, I didn't see that anywhere." Which was technically true, but not because I couldn't find it. It was because I was a stupid, lazy teenager who didn't bother to look for it in the first place.

I feel like calling the store would be worthwhile. I find that a lot more employees know what pops are and you would be able to get information. Unless they're trying to hide stock to buy for themselves..... in that case then you probably won't find anything useful.

I've been watching the brickseek inventory closely on this trying to help out fellow international funatic find one of these guys; I don't collect Batman myself. And Ive traveled to the stores closest to me and confirmed that they only received commons (none of them had even opened their shipments up before I asked so I'm pretty sure they weren't sold before I got there). Based on brickseek info, there is only one store within 60 miles of me that even got count of 12 to tell me that there may be a better chance. And I unfortunately have to work for a living so have zero chance on getting all the way out to that store in time on the hope one will be there. So I guess for folks like us we just have to hope that maybe, just maybe every Target store will be getting these, just maybe not all at the same time?? :(

The funko hype didn't help out people for this guy. He is selling for more than chase goblin when he came out.

The closest Target to me is around an hour away. Earlier today I made a couple of calls to both "local" Targets and got in touch with individuals that were actually aware of the release. Neither store has received any Batman pops and they were not sure if any were on the horizon. It's not looking good at this point, which is sad when we consider this was just released this week.

I haven't had much luck finding batman so far, I am in San Jose. At this point I don't think I'll find him though.

Did u check San Antonio road? They had some. Mmmm also south SF tanforan and also check on serramonte. Those are "close" u never know bro. I got mine in RWC. But I literally got the last ones. Or that's what they told me, so idk. Got 1 of each. Good luck bro.

I wish Funko would have kept a little tight lipped if it actually turns out to be very limited. With Target no one there knows for sure how much of what they will end up getting. These might even show up like 3 months down the road at random Targets based off their stocking track record i my area at least.

Didn't they come out after that photo was leaked on Instagram. Maybe I'm wrong, but who knows they might have not said anything if it hadn't been for that happening.

Local target just got there's today, they had 3 of each. Couldn't make it there in time though. They did have a limit of 1 per customer and no holds allowed.

Well I saw another Target close to me got a shipment in and was going to go check after work today for others but, inventory went down to 6 already. Fair to say they’re gone.

If anyone sees 6/5 they still need to take a chance and stop because they might have only put out the first case to begin with and those numbers might represent the second case. Just a thought.

I swung by Target yesterday to try to get one just for myself and an employee there told me that people were camped out before the store even opened in the morning to get this Batman. I basically collect Funko Batman's but I feel it is unlikely I will be able to get this one. If It ends up I don't get one I am cool with it. I used to enjoy collecting new ones but the fun of collecting seems to be less and less for myself anymore with so many people now swooping them up to sell at higher prices.

Tanforan and Serramonte are terrible at keeping pops in stock. You'll have better luck in Colma. But if you're in San Jose there's Targets all over the south bay, but also a bunch of other collectors.

The Brickseek number is not just for Batman, it is for the whole series of Target SS Pop releases. Batman is mixed in with the SS Pop deliveries.

Ok, that makes more sense. I know it's a moot point now, but the numbers are still off, issue would be with Target inventory. I was in one of the stores yesterday and talked to the same employee, we looked at the inventory and it matched what was on Brickseek (9 on hand) but he was adament they never put out that many. So I wonder if they did receive a bunch and they are in the stockroom somewhere. I checked the other Pop DCPIs against Brickseek and their numbers matched.

There is really no telling. Another employee may have them hidden away somewhere, or they may have been put out in the store in another location (one of the frustrating things about Targets is some of the stores have Pops spread out all over the place and in multiple departments) or like you said they could be in the stockroom or even still on the truck. Doesn't make it any easier for us!

I wouldn't be surprised if they keep stuff in the back and bring it out. I was in my local Target everyday Monday through Thursday, and was seeing different stuff out every time despite the numbers not really changing on brickseek. When I was there yesterday, the employee said that they didn't have anything in the back and everything was out already. So who knows.

Maybe there are little Disney mice squirreling away the SS/Batman Pops and bringing them back out when they feel like it.

If it comes with other pops (like the regular SS pops) I'll go to the price scanner with one of those boxes and see if there's anything in the stockroom. If there is then I'll as a worker. When they say they'll have to look for it I give them a smile and say "That's no problem, I'll wait." I've never had an employee not look for the item after saying that. If they give me issue I let them know that I understand they're busy, is there anyone else I can ask? Usually they'll then do something rather than having more associates involved.

When 3 or 4 of my local Targets all told me that people were there at 8AM to get Bats and Joker, I had a feeling this was gonna be a lot like the Green Goblin Chase....there and gone!
