So comic book aficionados know by now that, a few days ago, comic legend Bernie Wrightson passed away. He was the go-to master for all things macabre, creating some of the most iconic monster images in comics, everything from Swamp Thing to Mary Shelly's Frankenstein's Monster. He was also very well known for his incredible, genre-defining zombie art, so much so that Greg Nicotero created a walker during season 6 that lovingly honored the Wrightson's legendary designs:

Honestly, I'm always more interested in the walker Pops than the human character Pops, and I'm always ridiculously excited to see which star walkers they're going to Popify next (come on, Metal Head!). I think, as a tribute to a fallen icon, Funko should really make the Wrightson Walker.

Cool backstory! They've done a lot of sweet tribute zombies but I didn't know about that one!

Right there with you! And YES to metal head! They've given us some incredibly cool walker Pops (Teddy Bear Girl has always been my personal favorite Pop of all time, but the flaming walker is a close 2nd) but there are many more amazing walkers that would also make awesome Pops!

As much as I love that we're getting a T-Dog Pop (and I really do), I feel like he would've looked cooler and more iconic holding his riot shield. Shame, because literally everything else about his Pop design looks perfect.

Laurie Holden expressed her disappointment on Twitter about not having a Pop and Funko answered with basically "we'll see what we can do" SO I'm mildly hopeful that we'll see Andrea sometime in the future.

Hope to see an Andrea Pop be made after Funko commented that on Twitter! I'm sure she would be an exclusive like SDCC, NyCC, or Hot Topic EX.
Since Shane and T-Dog were exclusives like that.

I'm hoping for quite a few characters who aren't with us anymore. Would love some zombie variants of Shane and Sophia. Of course I'm still waiting for Dale too.

Saw a youtube clip from SDCC showing a Dwight Proto, I hope this means there will be a full line coming up. Need Sasha, Beth & Eugene as well as Lori, Andrea & Dale out of the former cast.

I bet that's already in the works and set to release with the new season. Probably a good thing they didn't do it this season given how little Ezekiel and Shiva were in this past season.
