I liked the current characters they have made so far but they could do so much more with this line. I know there is a whole universe of TF collectors out there. Most of them prefer the classic 80's nostalgia collectibles but I think Funko could capture of few of them as well if they made more characters.

Yes!

So many cool possibilities with this: Flocked, Metallic, GITD. Could even go 6" and 10" and have a Flocked 6"/10" Optimus. Could even combine metallic and flocked when they trasform too. So many possibilities \:D/

I would completely and utterly be onboard with the cartoon/original toy versions, NONE of the movie versions. Just one full wave of 8-10 pops, metallic paint, one and done.

Optimus, Starscream, Megatron, Soundwave, Shockwave, BubbleBee, Grimlock, Jazz, Ratchet and whoever else they want to make!!

It makes sense. I get the business side of making regular pops then doing variants, but I always thought characters with metal parts, armor etc should always be metallic. Transformers, Iron Giant, Robocop, GoT characters with armor. Just my thoughts.

Metallic or Chrome Transformers would be great. I know some of the classic versions are showing up in the trailer for Bumblebee so we might get lucky to see them soon. :freddy3:

I've always thought the reason we haven't had G1TF is licensing, as stated, Hasbro owns the license and already do their own vinyl figures in the form of Mighty Muggs, HOWEVER, as has been pointed out;

- Funko has done Hikari and Wobblers of G1 already
- Funko have also done OG GI Joe pops too.

Assuming they were ever allowed to do Pops, I'd assume they would need to be bobble head pops (same as Star Wars and Marvel) in order to differentiate from Mighty Muggs, but my feeling is that Hasbro know that G1TF is the biggest gold mine they sit on and while they might be ok to allow Funko to do GI Joe and other less popular products like Hikari, they'd be reluctant to let Funko run with G1 on a massive line like pops.

Still seems silly because it would be a win-win for all parties.

Yes they are and that is what gives me hope. I think the reason why they went that route is to gain more of an audience because the last few movies have really fallen hard. Bring back Shia. :freddy3:

Maybe they will get the gang back together for the next overall transformers with more a G1 feel. I think if you bring back Shia and Megan that it will bring back the feel of the original 3. I guess we will have to wait to see. :freddy3:

You would think we would get some kind of transformer POP on the way for the new Bumblebee movie but radio silence thus far.

They maybe be skipping Bumblebee based on how the last movie might not have sold pops very well. :freddy3:

Yeah that makes sense - I feel like they should do Transformer POPS! but I think it would be better for them to be G1 or limited exclusives.
