Marvel POP! Updates Thread 2018 (Updated July 20th)

Not going to put this in the front as I don't know if it is store specific or not, but in one of the Walgreens threads an employee said his store isn't scheduled to receive any until Jan 31st. And they are only getting 4. Different stores showed different things, amounts, etc. He also said there are lots of warehouses and each one is way different. I'm not going to consider it released until I see at least one person say they found them with pic.

To me it looks like early February is a more realistic release date for the Walgreen Marvel Pops, and it sounds like some Walgreens won't get them at all or very very few. Ugh this is going to be a pain in the a**. I have 2 near me, but only one has a toy section. I also live in a region that doesn't get much love so I'll have to wait and see.

WALGREENS INFO:

Photo of the new Marvel Pops in hand at a Walgreens warehouse.

According to Walgreens, release date is January 28th (subject to change). The Pops will be distributed equally between east and west coast stores the same week it’s released. Walgreens gets deliveries Tuesday – Saturday and most stores get trucks 2x a week.

Roller Derby Harley is a pre-release for HT, Harley w/Mallet is very hard to find now and i just made a large PopCultcha order when she was in stock. :blush:

Does anyone know by chance how much gamestop charges to pre order theses pops? is it a per piece fee or could you pre order the whole lot at one price?

Unless they have a special bundle created just for this you are stuck pre-ordering each item separately. My guess would be that there will be no bundle, but you never know so I'd ask just to make sure. I've never seen a toy bundle at Gamestop that wasn't full price unless it was something the manufacturer put out or it's on clearance.

5 dollars to pre-order each Pop. Of course it will go towards the price of the Pop. You can also cancel once you receive the Pop and get a full refund.

SOOOO today at work I was browsing through all the future releases that Book Master (Barnes & Noble) has listed for Funko and I caught a few things that I have not seen listed anywhere else. If these were already posted I apologize, but if not I thought I'd share. The release dates in Book Master are meaningless but these POPS all had titles and are in the system:

***Ant-Man Pop/ Yellow Jacket POP

*** Avengers 2 GAMMA GLOW BARNES & NOBLE EXCLUSIVE
*** Avengers 2 Scarlet Witch POP/ Quicksilver POP

*** Avengers 2 Mystery Minis

I like to think that I keep up with the Marvel Funko news but all of these were a surprise to me. Especially the B&N exclusive Hulk.

No pictures were available yet.
Anyway, thought I'd share. I'm sure more info is going to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Ohhhhhhhhh I hope you are right about the Ant-Man, and a Gamma glow Hulk would be cool as well.

I did this yesterday. Figured Walgreens would clear everything out for the Spider-Man stuff at the end of the month so decided it was time to buy him

This was the "Glow Moss" they were supposedly getting. No longer a glow.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad that Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are happening!!!

As for Black Widow - I'm not a fan of her myself, BUT I don't like how few female superhero Pops we've gotten (and I see why people who are fans of her in particular are annoyed). Out of (going by the most recent version of the Toy Collector app) about 300 different superhero Pops (Marvel + DC, including variants and such)... 31 (thereabouts) are females. I mean, I understand that a new Batman/Cap variant is probably going to sell better than a Big Barda/Squirrel Girl Pop, but... female characters (and fans) need some love, too, and there are some big female characters that still haven't been made, like Captain Marvel and Supergirl. I AM glad to see some more ~female target-audience~ Pop lines coming (like Clueless, Outlander, and OUaT), but I still want those female characters.
