It hasn't even been a month, and this POP is getting vaulted. I hope someone can explain if this is an error or give some reason, cause it's pretty crazy otherwise.

Re: pops added to vault today
Umm, yeah, I really hope the Eleven POP is an error. I get things happen with licenses and such, but Funko clearly still has the Stranger Things license, as evidenced by all the future lines. And it can't be because of sales, because how would they know when the POP hasn't even been out a month. According to their blog, they advertised Stranger Things Wave 3 as "Available Now!" on Oct. 27th, 2017.
It hasn't even been a month, and this POP is getting vaulted. I hope someone can explain if this is an error or give some reason, cause it's pretty crazy otherwise.

Really surprised that the new Eleven POP! is listed...if it's true then that may be the quickest to ever get vaulted.

There are so many eleven variants that it doesn't bother me that they're vaulting one. (Don't know if it's a mistake or not though) lots of commons end up sitting on shelves for awhile. Early vaulting could be a way to increase sales.

Very quick. I usually wait to acquire the commons on good sales etc... better get off my butt I guess.

Don't they ever vault anything besides the junky Pops that 99% of people don't care about? It seems like the only cool Pops that are noteworthy that are vaulted are the really early ones like Pinocchio, Two-Face, Skeletor, Leonidas, Rocky Balboa, etc. Now it's just crap like "The 100" or "Dark Tower".

I'm pretty sure it's an error.
When an item gets vaulted the item number is usually followed by vaulted, no? Eleven says item# 21784.

Wasn't the Pop Vault an April Fools joke? Why would it be vaulted if it was just a joke. Makes me wonder if any of those other ones are legit (I haven't bothered to look them up).
Edit: I checked, the other vaulted Pops are there.

Honestly Funko should just take a look at all the clearance Pops or the lines still sitting on shelves collecting dust, and vault those first. I get the feeling it's gonna come down to either donating to charity or to the trash, and B&N already does donates clearance items (yes including Funkys) to charities iirc.

Re: pops added to vault today
Ok, so I know someone that contacted Funko's customer service, and it appears this Eleven being vaulted wasn't an error. Now, if Funko comes out and says otherwise then I will gladly say I'm wrong. I want that to be the case. I would love nothing more than for this to be an error.
This is where I respectfully disagree. I hate the idea of this, and the possible precedent it could set for the future. I don't mind Funko vaulting things early that don't sell well. After all, there's no sense in making more of something that people aren't buying. How in the world, though, are you able to tell after less than a month? (And Funko Blog is the best source we have for release dates.) Even if it's a popular character from a popular series it may not sell well and definitely, Funko shouldn't feel that POP isn't immune to being vaulted early. Variant fatigue is a very real thing for collectors (and a whole other issue). However, even if it isn't going gangbusters in the first two weeks, I feel it's reasonable to want Funko to give those interested in the product a decent timeframe in which they can actually get the product.
Some will say that "Well you can get one now on Amazon for the usual price." What if someone can't afford it right now? When POP's get vaulted, it's true they don't always get bought up by flippers and have their price increase dramatically. But sometimes they do, and is it so bad to want Funko to give us a month or two to buy an item? This isn't a Con-Exclusive POP, this is just a common.
Whats more is I hate the precedent this sets going forward. How soon will Funko vault other POPs in the future?
And that is what I am worried about. Will Funko overuse vaulting to create a false sense of rarity? If you think that I'm overthinking things, just read some of the comments above of people saying they better hurry to go get the POP just in case. And I don't blame them, as I've thought the same thing. Will Funko vault something if someone like Hot Topic or Barnes & Noble call up and say, "Hey, this product isn't moving, and we need the shelf space for this new exclusive,"? (Coincidentally, Hot Topic has a new Eleven exclusive coming out soon.)
I do worry about Funko creating that false sense of rarity, in part because we don't always hear the reasons why these POPs get vaulted. If you're having licensing issues, then obviously it makes sense to vault (though, with all the Stranger Things stuff coming out that clearly isn't the issue in this case). Or if it's been a few months and the series just isn't moving, again it makes sense. But what is the determination now on how long we have a chance to get something before it goes to the vault? This kind of stuff only encourages flipping, imo.

No, they don't. The only things that ever get vaulted are things that just don't sell and nobody wants. Vaulted Pops are just discontinued models.

Stranger Things is a line I do collect so I was planning on getting it anyways, but like someone already mentioned here already, I too don't rush to buy any 'regular' release POP!. I usually wait for sales or coupons. Now that this may be vaulted, I'll need to get one for my collection before shelves run dry.

I'm really disappointed.. I hope it's a mistake and it won't happen again because it's annoying and unfair. Now I have to order one on PC very soon or I couldn't afford to buy one when they'll arrive here.. It's not really honnest to do that on a regular Pop. That's the particularity of exclusives..
Sorry for my mistakes , I'm French

I ordered this from Hot Topic about 2 days before it was "vaulted". If it had been real, I would have been one of the lucky ones who didn't have to scramble for it after the fact.

Yeah and the early ones they vaulted long ago are ones that you'd think most people would want. Whether they were rare or not. Like Genie from Aladdin, Sorceror Mickey, and Red Skull in the Marvel line for a few examples. Makes no sense to me but whatever.

Hey it's been a month everyone's had a fair chance to obtain this pop if you were that interested in it before the vault hype you would of already been and got it. That's the way I see it personally you'll see more moan because they didn't bother when they had the chance to order it because now it's vaulted, now that is funny.
Curious to know why it was vaulted though

Pretty much. I have 95% of the things that I want off of the vaulted list and the only things I don't are things that I decided I wanted after they came out and I haven't gotten around to getting them. Of course, that's why they get vaulted in the first place, nobody really wants to buy them. Being vaulted isn't a reward, it's a punishment for being unpopular.
