Marvel POP! Updates Thread 2018 (Updated July 20th)

Still need to get Green Goblin, and I'm super sad I'll never get Rhino or Hobgoblin, their prices are just too high for me.

Rhino isn't bad yet surprisingly, but i'm totally with you on Hobgoblin.

I’m totally fine with missing Hobgoblin, because it’s not really Hobgoblin. It’s a repainted Green Goblin, and other than the cape, it’s missing the features that differentiate the two characters.

True true...kinda like Carnage was a repaint of Venom, even with the dang tongue.

that's mostly how I feel and why i'm not willing to pay the price for him, but I also realize they're likely never going to bother giving us a more accurate version so the fact that this is probably the only one that'll exist makes me disappointed not to own him.

Are you, by chance, an out of box collector? If so, I MIGHT be able to help ya out with Hobgoblin. Pretty sure my Brother has or had one and I know he's not a huge Spider-Man fan. I could check if he's willing to sell or trade the Hobgoblin if you'd like (assuming he hasn't already - I know he had one for sure cause he was a collector corps subscriber from the beginning, but don't know if he sold/traded him already or not).

LOL. Alrighty, I'll be sure to ask him when I see him tomorrow and figure out what he'd want to get for the Hobgoblin. I know for sure it would be a good bit less than eBay prices. Will let you know ASAP once I talk it over with him.

Also the Samurai Deadpool's are out in Japan so I'd expect to seem them soon in North America.

Silk is the no. 1 character I wanted them to make, so this is a dream come true. It's a shame it's a Walgreens exclusive. Now that Target has significantly improved their stocking of Pops, especially exclusives, Walgreens is officially back to holding the title as the absolute worst place to hunt for Pops, and nowhere else comes close. It's pretty much a guarantee I will have to buy it off of eBay. I'll be shocked if I find one in-person.

Most of the Walgreens exclusives are readily available online when they come out. So shouldn't be a problem to obtain. Now the shipping...eeeeeeeh.

Yeah, the shipping tends to scare me off. I can usually find one on eBay for a lower price, but it may take a couple months.

For most exclusives, patience tends to yield good results in pricing and quality. Having said patience for long enough can be another thing entirely, haha.

Silk & The Lizard are coming to Walgreens!

Gonna be super honest with you guys, these two were #1 and #2 on my list of most wanted Marvel Pops. I'm beyond stoked that we're actually getting a Silk!! I didn't think she was popular enough to warrant a store release.

Now, I know this is the Pop thread, but I can't help but think how incredible she would look as a Rock Candy. Let's get her, Black Cat, and MJ as RCs to go with Gwen

I went to B&N to look for the Wizard Deadpool yesterday and they did not have them in yet. They told me to keep checking back. Today I called to check back and they asked if I wanted to be on the 'reserve list.' Maybe check with your B&N and maybe you can be put on a list for the Wizard.
