For me it has to be the Blockbuster exclusive Master Chief Pop, that I purchased some years back. Master Chief is the only character I have collected every release of, so I had to bite the bullet to remain complete.

My Freddy Dr. Strange. I haggled for about a half hour before agreeing on a price. Don't regret it for a single second.

So about a year ago, and it's basically doubled since then. And at the time, I thought I might be paying too much, haha.

I still can’t believe I did it. I justified it to myself by rationalizing that I would have traded all that stuff for Freddy Yoda at Fundays too. I sold the Scoops Ahoy duo, The Fundays Scoops Ahoy Shirt and a Cuphead Freddy to make it happen.

That year was my first Fundays before I knew about all the trading that went on afterwards. In hindsight I wish I made a bigger effort to try and get the Dr. Strange.

I would recommend never trading or selling it. There are a lot of "rare" pieces out there, but few that are timeless/iconic. This is one of those. You'll look at it years later, happy that you kept it; I guarantee it.

I paid $50 for a battle Deku before the restock/flood

Felt kinda silly but I remember seeing people paying $200+ for it

Otherwise I haven’t paid much above retail, I’ve traded grails for grails if that counts but I would feel like uneasy if I paid high $$$$$ for a pop

The most I have paid for a single Pop was between $100-$150. Thats only because they were older, vaulted Pops that I totally missed out on, coming into funko late. So for example, OG Skeletor, OG He-Man, OG- Spikor, OG Hordak, Hooded Cobra Commander. I’m still trying to track down some pieces like Bebop, Rocksteady, Lion-o, Mumm-Rah, Scareglow, She-ra, but they seem to be out of my range for the moment.

Sending my daughter to college this fall, so I cant justify a big purchase yet. But one day!!

I’ve only scored one grail and a common tangible nft at retail by opening packs. I had to slow down .. more so with Elf’s release. Since elf not a single tangible (ripped open at least 6-8 packs I forget). It stings lol
Collecting since 2010
