2023 Best Freddy NFT Redeemable:
I personally think the Freddy as Pennywise was pretty neat! We have had one previously of course but I LOVED the new mold!

2023 Best Convention Exclusive:
I agree that the Freddy as Clown was AMAZING (I promise I'm not a huge fan of clowns), I loved the retro feel and sharing a resemblance to the kaboom clown but with a better color scheme imo.

2023 Best Funko Shop Exclusive:
Yamato Chase from One Piece! The chase was VERY well designed, and the glam shot photos don't do it justice imo.

2023 Best Retail Exclusive:
I know it was on the tail end of the year but I was a big fan of Bullseye in the Disney 100 outfit!

2023 Best Moments:
+1 for ST Dustin and Eddie great moment and great scene in the series

2023 Best Fundays Freddy:
I LOVE LOVE LOVED the BL Freddy as Shaggy. I'm not really into Blacklight but loved how it came out.

2023 Best (non-Funday) Freddy:
+1 Toucan, too adorable.

2023 Best Common POP Overall:
I think a LOT of people slept on him, but Black Asta from Black Clover was a FANTASTIC common, great design and detail without the high price and easy availability.

2023 Best 6-inch POP:
ATLA- Appa w/ Armor hands down!

2023 Best Bitty POP:
My vote is for the NYCC Bitty set, I never owned the NFT full sized variants due to timing and price so these were the PERFECT alternative!

New Year is here, and while we've had some issues we still got some awesome pops this year so i figured might as well kill some time before we count down and have all you fine funko folks list your top 5 of the year. Mine are as follows

1. Buggy The Clown (He was top of my want list for the longest time, was so happy when he was announced and even happier when i saw it was his pre-timeskip look)

2. Guldo (i'd have said the Ginyu 5-pack but as i don't have it yet that seems like cheating so i went with the greatest member of the team)

3. Demogorgon (in any year that didn't contain 2 of my literal top 2 items he would've likely been #1, such an amazing sculpt for such a cool critter)

4. The Last Ronin (i'm a big TMNT guy but my love usually is only for the original cartoon, the Ronin however won me over and the pop turned out great)

5. Freddy Funko Kooky Space Kook (this was a tougher call and despite the sticker debacle i think this was hands down the coolest Freddy of the year)

so that is my list, like i said some of the items from this year were ones i've wanted since i first learned pops were a thing, so it was a pretty exciting year for me (despite how negative i know you folks usually think i am about the company) so i wanted to get it out there that overall, i was pretty happy with my collecting in 2023.

My top 5 Funko of the year (I combined some):

1. Freddy as Space Kook and Freddy as Shaggy - I love Scooby-Doo and love Freddys so these were a great mash up. As soon as I saw a leak of the Freddy Space Kook I knew I had to get one for my collection.

2. Lion King Hakuna Matata moment - this movie brings back childhood moments, I loved this movie and this song was my favorite.

3. Shinobu from Demon Slayer - This mold is beautiful, great movement and an awesome base out of butterflies.

4. Freddy as Toucan - this is in my top 5 for the personal memories of attending our first SDCC this year and being able to get this pop in Funkoville.

5. Freddy and Proto sodas - Loved the ranger/camper set from Fundays and the vampire Proto and Trick r Treat Freddy from NYCC/heavy metal boxes.

For me my top 5 of the year are probably (in no specific order)..

1. Buggy the clown, great character and the pop has some great detail
2. Freddy as Spooky Space Kook, Scooby Doo is one of our families favs and the mold is fantastic
3. Freddy as Anakin, honestly i think the regular looks better but its an AMAZING pop
4. Yami, Black clover is one of my fav shows and Yami is my all time fav characters
5. S'mores boy, We LOVE this pop and it has some happy memories associated with it!! Its adorable!

I'm probably missing a few, there have been a bunch of amazing pieces this year!

Space Kook def top 5 worthy. Better than most of the simple Freddy head swaps from fundays this year.

I am going to try and list a different category for all five because if I didn't then I would vote for all Freddys

1) Floaty Freddy - my favorite Freddy of this year and top three ever (along with Space Zombie and Optimus Prime). It's simple but perfect, and I love it.
2) Gelatinous Cube - such a cool design and so well done. I could have gotten the original one at GameStop but passed because all the boxes were damaged, and I regret it to this day. But at least the new one is in the collection, and I love it.
3) Cassie Lang - I am not really an MCU collector, but I think the costume designs in the Ant Man movies are next level great and Cassie's uniform in Quantumania is great. The Pop does it justice for sure, it's my favorite Marvel Pop in years.
4) Bullseye as John Hammond - this feels like cheating a little since the reason I love it so much is because they are treating Bullseye like Freddy and dressing him as other characters. Either way it goes though, this is just a phenomenal Pop.
5) Blackpink (tie) - cheating a little here, too. There were four singles of the members of BP and a Hot Topic four pack in different outfits. Both of them are amazing, although I might give the singles a bit of an edge. All four singles are great, but I do think Jennie and Rose are a little above Jisoo and Lisa. Jennie's hat is so good, it's an amazing sculpt.

This was super tough for me since there were so many great Pops from this year. I tried to keep this list as diverse as possible. Otherwise it would mainly just be Pokémon and One Piece.

1) Freddy Funko as Spartan - I was NOT expecting this Freddy at Fundays at all. Funko doesn't make Freddy as video game characters too often, so this was a wonderful surprise!

2) Flocked Espeon - This was a MUST for me, since I absolutely love the Eeveelutions.

3) White Owlbear - DnD has some of the BEST sculpts that Funko has ever done, IMO. So, I had to jump on the chance to get this Owlbear POP since I missed out on the digital drop.

4) Gol D. Roger chase - One of the few random chases that I have ever gotten. It was tough picking just one One Piece POP, but Roger is just too cool not to pick.

5) 332nd Clone Trooper - I love all of the clone trooper POPs. That is the reason.

Instead of just picking 5 individual Pops I'm gonna list 5 lines that were my favorite this year. In no particular order.

1. Halloween McNugget Buddies
2. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
3. Muppet Christmas Carol (GITD Marley Brothers #1 in that line)
4. Robin Hood (came out just before 2023 ended)
5. All the new Killer Klowns from Outer Space stuff

Runner ups: Last Ronin, Hakuna Matata, Toxic Avenger, Vecna/Mind Flayer/Demogorgon 3 pack, Schoolhouse Rock, The Dark Knight NFT set

If I cared for anime, I'm sure I'd have Demon Slayer, One Piece and more on the list somewhere. Even so, I still bought Buggy the Clown and GITD Kanao just because they looked cool.
