Totally misread this at first as confirmation that protos coming back to Fundays. That said, Proto in a Pete the pirate costume from Tailspin would be fun.

I'll be a little more blunt about it, I don't like Proto as much as I thought I would. It gave me a feel like he was forced, similar to how Sparky from the Fairly Oddparents was just dropped in to have that "pet" vibe. Maybe in time I'll warm up to him but as it is now I'm not the biggest fan.

I'm actually really surprised this hasn't happened yet. Normally it would be a question of corporate approval and partnership, but Funko is already deep in bed with Target.

But I’m sure we will start to get some cool Proto as ….
And it’ll speed up that process for me.

I'm thinking we may just see a pirate proto with a bone in his mouth. I feel like since Proto is a bit humanoid/bipedal it would be a bit awkward to see him as other IPs of dogs.

The amount of people who attended Fundays last year, it was impossible to give everyone a proto. I’m hoping that they are going to do it this year. Fingers crossed. Depends how many tickets will be sold.
