Figure vs bobblehead

Postby diplomatt3 » Tue Jan 17, 2012 10:18 am

So I am curious about something. Why do some characters come in figures and some bobble heads and some both? Why did they decide to make them different?

Maybe we should start an FAQ thread about Pop figures?

This is why I only collect Disney and other random movie lines. I do not want figures with bases (even if you can remove them) and I do not want bobbles.

Don't worry about it, I still have those moments. :D I think having an FAQ will be helpful, this question and a couple others have come up several times over the past year+...this will give the new comers an easy place to find answers for their questions.

Hmmm...something for the FAQ. I didn't know that you could take them off their bases. I don't have any based ones...yet :)

Yea my Starwars came with a base, they easily come off, the bottom of the feet have a tiny hole in them and the base has to little nipple things (for lack of better words) on them. I took all of my Starwars off the base as well, to keep them all looking the same

At first I didn't care much for the base, but if I recall correctly, the old Star War figures had a hole on the bottom of their foot too, didn't they? Or was that G.I. Joe...

All Hasbro figures (Marvel GI Joe Star Wars etc) have holes in the bottom of their feet for stands.

I don't like the bases, bases are for full sized wobblers

My problem with the bases is that they don't always fit snuggly and when you pick up the figure, the base falls off.

I agree, at first I was using the ones with a base to go on a ledge in my house that was a little rough for the feet standing Pop! They kept falling, the ones with the base would stay, but I came home 1 day and 2 with a base, fell off the base but the base was still up there. I have since removed the base and moved the Pop all together lol

I perfer figures to bobblehead. I also am not a fan of stands. I was worried that Woody was going to be on a stand because I got him at B&N and not the Disney Store but thankfully he didn't have a stand!
