Hard to find pops?

Postby KISSINWPG » Sun May 13, 2012 1:19 pm

Hey

I'm wondering what are some hard to find or retired Pops other than Loki because I go to a few local stores and they have several red skulls and green arrows and other ones but never Disney so please don't mention any Disney pops.

Thanks

Yes, you should.

I've been following the Pops listed on the www.kirinhobby.com website and they seem to be in the know what is discontinued. Their shipping costs are not impressive, but I like to refer to the site monthly.

If I see Riddler next time, I'll get him. I didn't get him because I have one already. I'll get him next time I see him and offer to anybody on the board for cost + shipping.

I will say that it depend on the store if they will even carry Disney ones, Barnes and Noble usually does, but the Disney Store always has first run until the next set is released, so they have series 3 (Little Mermaid, Ursula, Peter Pan, Donald, etc) while the other stores have recently gotten series 2 ( belle, beast)

it's actually 6 months. disney stores sell each series exclusively for the first 6 months of release. after that, other retailers are allowed to start getting them. we should see disney series 3 showing up in other places pretty soon this summer, well before the supposed release of series 4 this fall.

So far what we know are retired:

Star Wars: Han Solo and Greedo
Disney: Boo, Sulley, Mike, George Sanderson (Brian said they're not retired as such, but not made in the US. Mike and Sulley are on preorder in Australia at the moment. The Toy Story pops are now bobble heads with stands instead, so the non-bobble are hard to get.
DC: Penguin and Riddler
Marvel: Thor and Loki from the Thor film (with helmets). Red Skull is also retired.
Rocks: Jam Master Jay

I've seen the Riddler and Penguin out and about in my area quite a bit. I just picked up a Penguin yesterday. I'm gonna have to get a Riddler pretty soon. I didn't know he was a rare one.

And my partner has Boo, Sulley, Mike and George. But his george box got heavily damaged in his recent move. So we're trying to find a new one. :(

Thor Loki and Red Skull frustrates me - they're the only three I need to complete my Marvel/Movies collection. Though, I do have them all preordered... I'm inpatient! :bounce:

---

If I go out and about and see Riddlers and Penguins and people on the board don't have them I don't have a problem picking them up for you. Just let me know. ;-)

There shouldn't be a problem finding a new George at the Disney store... that guy is always on clearance too.
