Congrats to Funko & Brian!

Postby RDK » Mon Jul 16, 2012 1:51 am

With all the grumbling about lines and the stuff that even those of us who were at Comic-Con couldn't get, it's easy to forget the reason for all of that: FUNKO HAD ITS GREATEST CON APPEARANCE EVER! I've never seen the booth so constantly crowded, with almost everything flying off the shelves. The guys worked the booth harder than ever before, but it was a huge success!

So congrats to Funko and especially to Brian for taking the company to the next level. I was really proud of how popular the booth was this year and thrilled that so many pieces sold out (even if it meant that I couldn't score all of them).

This was a banner year for Funko at the Con, Funko is going to have to move out of the "small" toy company section of the con if this keeps up!

Congrats Brian, with all the wonderful things you do for us, you most certainly deserve this success!

Well said! I saw that booth Sunday right before closing. There wasn't much left on the shelves, and I think that's great sign!

WTG Funko! But please, do not forget the roots of the fans who built this company! I felt bad for all the Wobbler funatics this year :( wasn't a lot of love in that area especially with fundays. Maybe next year.

Can't wait to experience it all first hand in 2013! Congrats again Funko!

Thanks and congrats to Brian and Funko! Your company is amazing and for those who didn't know it before, they certainly do now. Funko killed every other toy company at SDCC and will only continue to get better and better. Funko will live on forever!

Aw man, I'm in the wrong state! I live in Brisbane :( I actually have a Cert 3 in Tourism Operations and have been thinking about trying to get a job somewhere like a travel agents.... just for the benefits bwahah. Hard getting places with flexible hours for uni though.

See, I have a trip I'm planning with my friend to the US. We want to go to Florida though.. the plan is to have a week at Walt Disney World, 2 days at Universal Studios and a day at SeaWorld. All up that's a minimum of $4000 (that's paying for everything, but with a minimum amount of spending money), so if I wanted to add SDCC and Fundays... more flights and whatnot. I could probably do the extra flight and just Fundays, but I'd have to change timing. We wanted to go in October because that's the cheapest time for flights and accommodation. Aww man!

Working Funko's booth was one wild ride! In one word, I'd sum it up as Pandemonium! Brian & Funko will be even larger next year; business-wise & booth wise, so everyone be sure to make it out in 2013 for an even larger Funko experience!

Greetings all! I am so jealous that I missed SDCC and Fundays. I am a new funko fan... but have become a huge one very quickly. I've picked up a few exclusives through ebay already... so I didn't completely miss out! I hope to be able to join all of you next year!

With that said, I wanted to also say congratulations to the team! I can tell that you all work really hard to make a quality product... and it shows in every piece. Ever since I purchased Ursula and Edna in the Disney store a few months back, I haven't been able to get enough! You've got one more new fan!

I too was so proud to even be associated with Funko at the con...so sorry about those funatics who had to wait in line, tried to help some of you out when i knew who you were because i'm a pushy old broad ! Brian has really taken Funko to new heights and he really knows how to throw a party at Fundays....so many of us wait all year for this one evening and he did not disappoint...and i just read what you wrote in my POP book Brian, i will treasure it always and integrate the book into my pop display.
