Clamshell packaged POP!s
Don't know all the details but I think they came in the clamshells first but then where made with the boxes, from what I gather most people do not like the clamshells and would rather have a box. Maybe some one else can fill in the blanks or be more specific. Hope this helps some!

I think some people who have or get the clamshells will then get a regular box and transfer the sticker from the clamshell to the box. (hair dryer works good to remove the sticker, so I've heard)

Re: Clamshell packaged POP!s
The clamshells are very very rare, especially the glow green lantern
The POP line was initially called the FunkoForce version 2 and was changed to POP
The line debut at the 2010 San Diego comic con. There were 4 figures initially produced in the clamshell and limited to 240 pieces: Glow Green Lantern, metallic Batman, regular Batman, metallic Batgirl
Do to problems with the packaging not all of the figures made it to the con and not all of the figures were packaged in the clamshells.
Only a 1-2 cases of the Glow Green Lantern in the clamshell were delivered, so there are probably less than 36-72 that originally existedin the clamshell. Probably far less when you consider people who bought them at the con didn't know how rare they were and opened them. The Glow Green Lantern was sold out by Thursday of the con.
I personally love the clamshell, it is a beautiful in package display of the figure.
It is extremely rare and does in my opinion add to the value.
They also has significance as being one of the first 4 production POP figures ever released.
If you do end up with one, I would recomend not removing it from the clamshell.

Re: Clamshell packaged POP!s
very cool.maybe I should have bought the glow green lantern in the clamshell instead of the one in the box.I just figured it would be harder to display them since the boxes stack so well

Re: Clamshell packaged POP!s
I hope it's helpful, and i personally think we haven't even started to see the collectors chase the glow green lantern in the clamshell.
It is a true rarity varient of a production piece.

Re: Clamshell packaged POP!s
I too was confused by this when i first started collecting, i display mine and therefore i dont have a huge pull towards the clamshell case ones. i will leave those up to the major collectors.

I had one once. Sold it to buy a wobbler proto. It sat in a drawer since it couldn't fit on a shelf with my other pops
Mike, ISO Freddy Spider-Man wobbler proto and Green GITD Infredible Hulk wobbler.
