Proto questions

Hi guys,

How do you guys get your protos?
Do you typically get them from places like SDCC, ebay or trade here?

Realistically, what are the odds of getting one (especially consider I can't easliy attend SDCC etc)?

And normally how many protos would there be?
And how many colour combination could there be for a proto?

And finally should I give up hope now of ever getting a Batman proto?
Considering there seem to be so many Batman fans here....

no, you shouldn't give up hope for batman protos. i started to really collect pops this year and i had to play catch up on batmans and batman protos. i paid a huge amount for my batman collection and i'm not planning on selling them at all. just keep up with the search for batman protos or even offer a large amount for it and maybe someone will consider your offer.

It's been posted around here many times, but as far as "production" numbers on protos, I believe it's 2 whites and ~5 color pieces per pop. It's hard to tell the color combinations, but usually not many. Some colored protos may have a white head or a colored head, I dont know if there is a set number on this.

The odds of getting them aren't bad, usually Gemini will post most of them, you just have to be fast.

There are a lot of batman fans out there, and only a handful of protos, but they pop up for sale now and then. I've seen a few batman fans pass along their protos, so it happens.
