Hi everyone:

I hope you will allow me a few moments of your time to gush about how wonderful MrPunch000, aka Dan Stevens is. If any of you peruse the customs you will see that Dan has made some amazing amazing custom pops as well as some mock ups. He does this because he loves to and is very very talented.

Well about a month ago I had an idea and wanted a custom pop for my daughter's 14th birthday. Her favorite superhero, carton, manga, is Sailor Moon. Dan had an amazing mock up for Sailor Moon and I was hoping that he would/could make one for me.

Being the amazing guy that he is he agreed and worked tirelessly to make my daughter her very own custom sailor moon pop.

Kailey came back from camp late sunday night and while we had some cake and opened a few gifts, I told her her something special was on the way for her.

Today, Fedex delivered a huge box and she was dying to open it but had to wait until I came home from work

Well she opened it and is thrilled, floored, in awe, words can't describe her reaction, how honored and thrilled she is to be the proud owner of this very special piece.

Dan is truly an amazing funatic and personifies the true funko spirit. Words can not describe how honored and touched I am that he spent so much time to make this wonderful piece for my daughter.

Okay-now without further a due here are pics of Sailor Moon. You will notice that there is not one of pic of Kailey with the pop and it's because at 14 she refuses to take a picture without her "face" and she wasn't made up for pics.

but i hope you enjoy. This thread is really just a way for me to brag about Dan's awesome work and show off the pop.

Congrats Lara,it looks pretty cool.I've heard the name Sailor Moon before,but didn't know what it was.Dan does a great job,I'm hoping someday to pick up one of his Ash & Crow figures if he's selling them.Congrats once again,and great job Dan!!!

techniclly Kailey is too young to be 'into sailor moon'. By the time she was born the series had already been on the air for 3 or so years. I don't even think it was reguarly on the air. She happened to catch one of the movies when she was 4 or 5 on Cartoon Network (before they had much original programming) and loved it. I happened to have a DVD with some episodes from the first season (i think it was a freebie at some convention). She watched that thing like some kids watch seasame street or any other educational PBS show. My preschooler was watching 1 DVD of sailor moon over and over again. We got her a few more and the love grew. She wanted to be sailor moon for halloween when she was 5. There were no costumes to be had (sailor moon hadn't been on tv at this point for 5 or so years). I found someone to custom make her a costume (are we sensing a theme here?) Here are some pics of her at 5 with her besties.

We still have the costume (it use to be on a child dress form in our basement until matt said it was creepy. Now it's in the attic).

kailey still loves sailor moon and has all of the seasons on DVD. She's hoping for a blu ray box set of all of them. Her love for the Sailor Moon crew is one I hope she never loses (it's been 10 years since she first discovered her and it hasn't yet.) We watch together and as I have previously mentioned will sometimes quote Sailor moon's nutty sayings in grocery stores or the mall, just because.

Currently, Kailey is deciding if we need to get a special display case for Sailor Moon. But she is worried that if we do then she won't be able to play with the other toys at night (clearly we also love toy story in the house).

HOLY COW THAT IS AMAZING! Kudos MrPunch. That is fabulous work. I love Sailor Moon as well (but probably would request a Sailor Mercury in place) and I bet Kailey is pretty tickled. Awesome. (now i'll go be jealous for like a week or two)
