Question about the blue Batman

Postby tmurray87 » Mon Mar 25, 2013 4:37 pm

Hi everyone
I just started collecting pops and I saw there is a blue variant of the normal Batman. I saw it listed as retro or 1970's Batman, but when I was in ToysRus today, I saw him in a pack with a DS game. Is that the best/easier way to get him? Thanks!

The retro blue Batman was a SDCC 2010 exclusive and is harder to find. The one you saw in ToysRUs is a glow in the dark version offered with the Lego game.

There are different "blue" Batman's:
- SDCC 2010 exclusive Blue Batman (hard to find)
- SDCC 2010 exclusive Blue metallic Batman (hard to find)
- Glow in the dark Blue Batman, available through the DS game pack.

There will also be a Batman from the old TVs series coming out soon (I think he's blue too)

Hope that helps
Anthony

Thanks everyone for the quick answers! I guess I will just wait until the old TV series Batman comes out instead of searching these rare guys out

I would like the GITD batman, but I don't want the game to go with it. Same with the GITD Joker

I'm in the same boat as you haha I may wait it out and see in a few days. Of buy the pack and trade the game in to recover some of the cost

You first need to tie a unicorn horn to a branch taken from Yggasdral (the Asgard Tree of Life) and then use it as a diving rod while sitting on the shoulders of a cyclops with a limp. and a mullet. and a shrubbery.

And still, I don't think that's enough.

That was when it was an exclusive...prior to including it with the Lego games. Good thing I didn't jump on board for that. :P

Question about the blue Batman

Postby Forte82 » Mon Mar 25, 2013 7:04 pm

I got one for $100 that was months before it was released! Fortunately I was able to sell it for the same price then buy another one for $20 a couple months later.

I know when that solutions 2 go started selling them with their custom stickers they duped a bunch of people. Poor people didn't know they were getting ripped.

The GITD Batman looks great, even if it's not under a black light. The GITD Joker, not so much. I couldn't tell you which Joker is which, unless I looked at the flaw on the sleeve of the GITD one.

Got one coming in the mail thanks to Jeff aka spinn. Now one last question, I saw there is a chase version of the 9 inch batman thats blue, I'm guessing these are just as rare as the 4 inch guys?

That Chase may honestly be the simplest to find of them all.

Swing by B&N and you'll most likely find one.

regular chases are 1:36

mega chases are 1:6

way easier to find 9 inch chases

I am very new to collecting Funko and have seen the GITD batman and Joker on Amazon which is sold by solutions 2 go. Are these legit ?

I have also seen a couple on Ebay but again I have no idea if these are real - is there anyway of telling

I got both of mine off Amazon, packed with the game,$15-25 each, few months back. If that's what you're looking at, then I'd bet they're legit....perhaps a link so we can see what you see.

I don't think the ones on amazon ship to the UK so thats not a worry now.

On ebay I have noticed these

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171081546945? ... 1423.l2649

I just thought it was quite cheap for exclusives and they must be old because the game is very old, surely they are worth more?

The GITD Joker & Batman were mass produced to go with the game....so they're not truly hard to come by, they're just not on store shelves much these days. If you have used gaming stores, you could check there.

If you feel £35, including shipping, is a good deal, then I guess go for it. You might ask the seller if he'd separate the items, offer to let him keep the game and ship you just the figure....I'd hope that would be cheaper. He'll still have the option to sell the game on its own....tho he won't get much more than 6 quid. But shipping to you should be much cheaper :D
