I like the gold dumbo, I like having a color variation with exclusives. When they are too similar, I end up just getting the regular version.

Tabby, I agree with you. I love the Gold Metallic Dumbo. It will be unlike any metallic I have and a great addition to my collection.

Considering previous years, how much longer will it probably be before the exclusives are officially announced? I can't really remember how long before SDCC they were announced last year, but I was thinking it might've been 30 or so days so we should be close right?

There are so many great possibilities from the hints we received, I can't wait to see some pics!

Last year Awesome Toy Blog published the complete list on July 11th (http://awesometoyblog.com/2012/07/11/fu ... lete-list/) which was just before SDCC started. We already knew what some of them were like the Disney ones since July 3rd. This year we've had a few leak early so it's hard to say. SDCC was the 11th through the 15th last year and this year it's the 17th through the 21st. This year it's starting almost a week later, so we may find out later than we did last year as a result.

Awesome toy blog is a step behind this site. I imagine we'll get the info before them. One time I was reading their site and they were talking about the Elf on the Shelf Pop long after people here had already started buying it at Target.

Awesome Toy Blog isn't as up to date as they used to be. This was one time where they were ahead of everyone else. I don't expect them to repeat last year's performance based upon their more recent past, but you never know.

That's a good guess, but at the $15 price tag he would be metallic, flocked, GITD, or a different variant color. Why would they do that with a Joffrey Pop?

Dumbo has to be 16. I doubt Funko would refer to a cute baby elephant as being gorgeous. Gorgeous leads me to believe it will be a Disney Princess.

While I understand what you guys are saying, and admit you are probably right, the clue says "full metal", so I was just looking at it that way.

Maybe there are two Dumbos. Someone mentioned a blue one and a yellow one at HQ. Maybe the anticipation is just playing games with my head.

Either way, it's just about a month more until we find out for sure.

Aw, OK. I follow you guys on this. I don't know if I'll be rushing to get a metallic Miss Piggy and Kermit, but those two clues together seems extremely likely to be correct.

I keep thinking that "full metal" would look something like the Gemini Rocketeer or the patina batman.
I can't think of many gorgeous Disney pops that would look good like that.

I don't think 48 is a Muppets character. True The Muppets are owned by Disney, but The Muppets have their own series which is not a part of the Disney series for Funko. What I take away from "full metal" is that it's a patina exclusive. Other hints explicitly said "metallic" and no other hint gave any indication of it being a patina exclusive. I figure that Funko would have at least one patina exclusive for SDCC. As to which character I would go with Ariel because of the statues of her in DL and WDW.

this was my original thought aswell.
I don't think Kermit and piggy would do so well. and im a huge Kermit fan.
plus the word gorgeous screams princess to me

Since Brian said that future releases will be smaller groupings I'm willing to bet that we'll get Eric as part of a TLM group. I hope that if my guess is correct and we do get a patina Ariel that we will also get a patina King Triton exclusive in the future since there is also a statue of him.

One of the other reasons I think this exclusive may be patina Ariel is because this is TLM's big merchandise year because of the release of TLM on Blu-ray. TLM merchandise has already started to show up in the DS even though the Blu-ray won't release until October 1st.
