Scott Pilgrim Pops Announced

One of my favorite graphic novels and movies of all time...

The pops disappoint me so.

Ramona should be on roller skates, but whatever, her pop is passable. Knives and Scott both have much more iconic looks that I don't get how these two became the final designs.

Hoping for some killer exclusives because I will be passing on these three (maybe not Ramona if a better Scott and Knives show up).

Who said they were bad? Scott is a little bland but knives and ramona look fantastic. The complaint is that it is just these 3 and that has been remedied

The graphic novels are phenomenal in terms of how they tell a seemingly simple story. When you first start reading them, it's easy to pass them off as silly manga-esque comedies, but by the time you get to the end, you realize that author Bryan Lee O'Malley had been weaving a very fascinating, deep, and emotional coming-of-age story for 20-somethings. There are rich characters, stunning artwork, great jokes...love them so much.

The movie is directed by Edgar Wright, aka one of the best, most talented directors working today. I'm not kidding, the amount of detail he puts into his films, not to mention his uncanny eye for directing comedy, puts him in the same league as Tarantino and Fincher. It's a loud, fast, balls-to-the-wall, unforgivably bombastic piece of art that a lot of people have dismissed as an "ADHD movie". In reality, if you stop to look and appreciate the amount of work that's gone into almost every frame of that film, it's kind of a masterpiece (though that could be said of all of Wright's films).

Then again, maybe you'll hate them both haha different strokes for different folks. But I personally consider them phenomenal works.

ugh please don't make it one of those limited pieces things, those are getting ridiculous lately :p a typical standard only at Comic-Con but not only made a certain amount would be fantastic and give actual fans a chance to get it

Scott seems bleh to me, but I didn't much care for him in the movie I'll definitely get Knives and maybe Ramona... but there's so many others I'd like to have, like every female character in the movie

Scott Pilgrim were some of the pops I wanted when I first started collecting. But I agree with the majority here. Scott is meh, not what I was expecting. I had a much better one in my head. Ramona and Knives though, are perfect. And yeah, only three characters? There’s like eight more that I think are essential, and I’m not even including ALL of the exes.

Gotta say con exclusives have me a bit worried. Hopefully they won't be those 100-300 pcs junk. This would make me so sad.

Kim was the one I was looking forward to the most... so, yeah...
Funko is more popular now than ever before and the exclusives (well, most of them) go faster every year (I only have a shot through Forbidden Planet probably, too) so I'm preparing myself for disappointment. I really wish Con exclusives would solely be variants of already existing characters, this way too many people will miss out on their favorites with no alternative. Especially international people who don't have a lot of options. (unless they want to pay ridiculous shipping fees, in which case you might as well buy from Ebay)

On a positive note, I like the Ramona one. And though I feel they should have gone with a more iconic look for Scott, I appreciate the little drawing.

I actually really like these and Im sure we will see some variants with roller blades, maybe even Scott popping out of the subspace bag. I think the cartoon versions would transfer over pretty good as well.

Agreed. I love the movie, but it's a cult film and I don't expect more than one wave. They may squeeze out some of the secondary characters as Con or HT exclusives, but I'm not expecting anything beyond that.

I'm really hoping that Envy is one of those exclusives though.

Plenty of pops I wasn't too thrilled about...Family Guy, etc...but I still appreciate that Funko does appear to listen to their fans. I think the ones they have starting out aren't that bad, to be honest I'm just excited to see this line and the Ferris Bueller line coming out. Could be two really great lines in time with a few more waves.

yeah that's a weird scene to base the Pop on, especially when the doodle was on screen for like 5 seconds

Tbh I'm not sure why people are so disappointed with these. I think they look great, party Scott with Ramona picture and smashed drink cup wasn't a bad choice. Only reason Con exclusives worry me is because I've been dreaming of SP pops for so long and now they are finally here and I want them all, but not wanting to spend $200+ because of some limited con exclusive. I'm extremely glad we finally got SP pops and grateful for the work put into obtaining the license and making them. I'm just going to be really bummed when if one of them turns into another CC Regina that I can only dream of and never own.

Exactllly. These Pops were easily my most anticipated ever since the rumor circulated. That's why I'm so let down.

I think the con exclusives Sex Bomb Omb made it worse. There is no way in hell I'm gonna be able to get those. I bet. It's gonna be Unmasked Jason for me all over again.

I stay dedicated. Try every site. Boom, gone. I work. I record. Do different events. I wish I had time to keep refreshing or wait outside of a store.

Luckily, these are just three inch collectibles. These just happen to be the three inch collectibles I was really looking forward to.

Just kinda tired of the con exclusives game. But it's not just Funko.
