Anyone know about the DCSuperheroes Series 1 Pops being unvaulted? I noticed they werent on the vaulted page anymore.

Two of my friends bought them all. It's cool because they each are holding something like Joey a duck or Chandler a baby chicken.

My wife has the whole set. I likely wouldn't have gotten them if she didn't want them.

As for the new vaulted list, guess I need to grab Ferris next time I see him. Been putting it off. Thought about starting to collect the American Horror Story series too, but I may just let those pass.

I've hosted a couple funko trade days in Chicagoland area, and raise money for a local charity. So when those days come, I go through my collection and end up donating things I don't really need and raffling them off.

Hi dear , i'm from Italy and here the pop-mania is just started.. someone can tell me why some pop when go vaulted increase their price immediatly and some other still remain at a low price? Talking about my collection for example, Gandalf reached incredible price and for ex. Shere Khan is still at 25/30$ on eBay...

I bought all except for the Gellars. But I suppose people couldve been disappointed cus apart from Phoebe and Rachel, they dont look so much like characters as in other Pops

Some of them can have limited runs (they make less of them), but a lot of this has to do with the popularity of the character.

Long story short, there is no exact way to tell which ones are going to go crazy and which ones are going to be worth a couple of bucks forever.

Well, in NYC the Friends Pops were gone within a month. Still missing 2 to complete the set.

assuming that "vaulted" is the same as "retired" once was...

this just means that funko isn't producing the character anymore. they could still have tons of them in the warehouse. or individual retailers like hot topic could have tons in their warehouse.

characters specific to the holidays (christmas story, or DOTD) are great examples of pops that could be "vaulted" but are typically only sold at one time of the year, so could still show up in stores for several years now, because the stock is simply being held back.

This is very true and explains how when my retail store employer just started selling funko pops and in our assortment of 6 Game of Thrones pops there was a Sandor Clegane figure. He was vaulted a few months back and this particular asst. Was probably already boxed and stored in a warehouse somewhere. Funkos not going to hunt down every case that's already prepped for shipment just because they vault an $8.00 vinyl. In there eyes, the value doesn't change after being vaulted. We the collectors decide that vaule.

Not surprising. They were probably the two least popular characters in the movie, plus it's been almost half a year since the movie came out. Pops tied to movies like that never get produced very long - but I still see both of those Pops in clearance bins everywhere for dirt cheap. lol

I know some of them like Riddler, Penguin, and Two-Face have never been up on the vaulted page as far as I've seen. And I look fairly frequently since they first made the vault page. I'm guessing they'll do a re-release of some kind in the future. Probably new molds and boxes. Just my guess.

I wouldn't invest in Pops at all. For one thing, there just aren't that many of them that turn out to be worth much in the long run. As far as what will be vaulted and skyrocket in price, it's a crapshoot and its really hard to know. Just buy what you like and don't worry about gobbling up every set and exclusive they come out with. You'll be a much happier collector that way.

I might as well not bother with THG then, I only ever was able to get Peeta in stores and really only got it because I could get one for free... now I don't have the money to buy a bunch of newly vaulted stuff lol

Vaulted =/= expensive. See most of the vault as proof. They're all less than 10$ on eBay.

The prices for the newly vaulted items generally don't go up very quickly. You can still find them pretty easily online. I think I've seen them pretty recently at Hot Topic and Barnes & Noble as well. Just checked Amazon quickly and you can get all 4 of the newly vaulted ones for less than $30 total

You make a fair point, but I have ordered 20+ Pops from amazon and haven't had a problem with the box being damaged. I had a terrible paint job one time and I returned it with no hassle. I guess it depends on just how picky you are on the box and how much you dislike having to drop a return package off...or if your postman regularly plays soccer with your packages

I think that it really just depends on the POPularity (pun intended) of the POP! Pops which are being vaulted because they are sitting in stores for months or years on end are probably not going to soar, versus POPs who were harder to find or just are popular characters.
