Ebay has them time to time. There was a Japanese exclusive for the longest time and I think someone bought it recently...maybe that was Josh lol lol lol

Wasn't me...I've had mine for quite a few months..maybe almost a year now :-k Can anyone confirm that the Gemini Spder-Man GITD chase was actually a 240 piece release..?? I know the Japan chase is a 1,000 piece release...

Is it just me or is the Gemini and Japanese one exactly the same?

If I remember correctly, everyone was freaking out about the Japan release, and soon after Gemini had one. Might have been planned like that, but for sure Japanese one came first. I got the Japanese one from a good Funatic buddy

I actually just renctly got mine to glow.. barely lol

On a side note, I miss when comics were $1.00. :(

Chase Variant wrote:But it's not "missing details" or "partially wrong", it's missing everything that defines that costume as Superior Spider-Man. It'd be like if they put out a Ben Reilly Spider-Man, and you started insisting that it was a Spider-Girl Pop despite the lack of a female body, when that is what would distinguish the two characters. Otto's costume is specifically a more aggressive version of Peter's from the angled lenses to the sharper featured front spider emblem with fangs to the fatter, more flea-like back spider-emblem to the sharp scallops in the "belt" area. Without these things, it's just a red and black Spider-Man costume, which IS a thing:

pop_jumper wrote:My point that I stated on some other thread is that it isn't below Funko to make a pop of a certain character that is missing details or is partially wrong. For example, Spider-Man 2099 is missing the spikes on his forearms, as well as his web cape. Foolkiller, Solo, and Terror are all just Deadpool repaints, and lack their unique weapons.

The Hot Topic pop isn't too far off from this:

My Japan chase actually glows very well, but the Gemini one doesn't glow so good (more faint for sure). I'll try to take pics next time I have them out for a comparison, but my phone sucks at taking GITD pics in general lol

All the eBay auctions I looked at were based in California, so I'm guessing it's following the usual pattern of hitting California first and reaching the rest of the country a few days later.

They sold out at 2 different Hot Topics I went to in Phoenix yesterday. Thankfully, I was able to get one though. People were acting like meat had been thrown to a school of sharks when they put the Spider-mans out.

From the pictures on eBay, the paint jobs at least look better on this one than the regular 03 Spider-Man. The regular 03 Spider-Man Pops always looked dirty from the attempt at the black webbing lines in the mask. They look much cleaner this go around. They do seem inconsistent though. I see some pictures on eBay where the head has no black painted webbing lines at all. Just the mold lines.

Symbiote Spider-Man refers to the black costume he acquired during Secret Wars, when the suit was a living symbiote. There was a period after Spider-Man thought he had killed the symbiote, where he would wear a cloth version of the black costume, and "Black Suit Spider-Man" would be an appropriate reference to that outfit. MJ made Peter get rid of that costume after Venom first showed up and attacked her.

We have to get a new spidey. I want an action pose spiderman more than anything. His on the wall pose or swinging or hanging; I don't care. As long as its a spiderman in an action pose.
