I still think Funko thoroughly misunderstood Who merchandising initially, which bit them... If they'd just released a complete set of Doctor pops from the beginning, or given any hint of an intention to get them all out they'd have probably had a lot more fans bite!

i completely agree. they didn't choose the right variants and characters to release with each wave. They waited too long to release companions and now we still don't have most of them. Whoever was handling the Doctor who license clearly stopped watching the show or isn't very involved with the fandom.

let's not forget 12th Doctor is the spacesuit is worth $350+ but yeah doctor who pops don't sell.

What does that have to do with anything? The 12th Doctor is an LE that completes a set of Spacesuited Doctors. High demand for a limited item doesn't translate to broad demand for a license overall.

I don't really agree. I think it was just awkward timing for Funko. A lot of the demand for Who Merchandise was driven by Tennant and Smith fans and that died down during the Capaldi years. Doctor Who merchandise took a hit in general.

I think at this point they're doing these small releases to keep us fans happy. While I want more DW pops I admit it's not so bad getting one or two here and small eaves. Makes being a completionist a lot easier

So far it seems like the only two pops confirmed in this "next wave" is Missy and the 13th Doctor.
Doctor Who fans keep on getting the short end of the stick when it comes to releases... the last Doctor who wave only had 3 pops and they were all just variants of the Doctor. I hope Funko releases at least 4 or 5.

The BBC has historically been strict with their licenses, so any release is appreciated.
