Here's an example from the newly announced GoTG2 line. There are 2 versions of Star-Lord and the Chase is the "rare" version. Normally Chases are 1:36 (retailers will get a case of 36 POPs and 1 of them is a Chase), but lately lots of Chases have been 1:6. Hope that helped!

No problem! Yep the 3rd one is a Toys R Us exclusive. Stickers are the best way to tell otherwise you can check online to see what the differences are. In this situation the original is the unmasked one, the Chase is masked with t-shirt, and TRU one is masked with armor (or something like that).

Generally, the stickers are how you tell which is the "original" of the set.

For the Starlord instance.. in wave 2, the unmasked version is the regular piece and the masked versions is the rare piece.

Also, when it comes to characters like Starlord, Captain America, Batman, etc that have multiple release waves, each wave will have a regular version thats common for all and normally a chase/exclusive piece.

Unless you mention Duck Dodgers or Space Cadet which seemed to be 1:2 was a chase. Hence them being worth barely more than the regular figure.

A chase variant is different than the normal version. A lot of the time it is GITD, Metallic, bloody or has a different sculpt (Independence Day Alien was exposed as opposed to the regular closed version). Older ones were 1:36 newer ones are 1:6 or like the duck Dodgers and space cadet 1:2
