Why is it that the normal POPs have their Dinos on the crest but the metallic have animals?

From the movie/movie related toys. It's also why they're metallic.

It irks me so much that the Yellow Ranger and Yellow Ranger metallic from Gamestop both have the sabertooth coins instead of the metallic one having the bear like the other MMPR movie metallic versions.

To answer the question its because in the 90's movie they lost their original zords which were the dinos and by then end got new morphers for a new set of zords and new power coin designs on their chests. I think this was the breakdown:

Red T-rex -> Ape

Blue Triceratops -> Wolf

Black Mammoth -> Frog

Yellow Sabertooth -> Bear

Pink Pterodactyl -> Crane

White Tiger -> Falcon

Green Ranger only ever showed up in season 1 as the green dragon so nothing on his metallic version changes because his coin is on his belt and its too fine for Funko to detail.
